Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 1512 West Jarvis Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

They raised our rental unit cost from 286 to 400 for our 10x16 unit. We have only been customers here for four months. Following up. We found a space the same size at Extra Storage less than a mile away for 100$. This location is still trying to charge me despite moving out. If you are leaving, remove your automatic payments. ... I guess a lawsuit will be coming soon! The women that been harassing . Stopped for a while and is again doing it! Since she won’t stop! I guess she will be sued! For harassment! We are good customers and pay on time every month! It’s a shame that public storage will soon need to deal with a lawsuit all cause of their employee harassment! She approach us again ! I will not say a thing and you will hear from the lawyer! ... Read more

I reserved a unit on the second floor and immediately upon viewing it had to cancel my reservation. There was a hole in the ceiling insulation (meaning leaks were inevitable), the beam holding up the wire netting overhead was falling apart, and there was a dead mouse in the unit. I had reserved the place two hours prior to arriving and immediately had to call the property manager to cancel everything. Cathy fortunately gave me no issues with the cancelation, but I’m still not sure if I’m getting a full refund (as it stands I only got refunded for the lock and not the insurance). I also want to point out a few things in case anyone wishes to store things here since I know it’s a convenient location for some. One, given the shady structure and lack of climate control I would suggest investing in plastic storage containers for anything and everything you keep there. There are clearly mice running around, and with it getting cold they’re gonna be looking for places to keep warm. Second, if you want to speak with someone at the location you’ll need to call ahead and schedule an appointment. I was told since it is a small location they don’t always have someone come in and when they do it’s until 1:30, which I understand. Third, they have a cargo elevator which is fine if you’re a bigger or stronger person, but if you’re on the smaller side I would be a little worried about getting stuck inside. Not necessarily dealbreakers but certainly things to consider before making such commitments ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1512 West Jarvis Avenue include the following amenities: Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 160 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1512 West Jarvis Avenue start from $32 and can go up to $356 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
