The Carling is the rebirth of the historic Roosevelt hotel, originally built in 1926. The Vestcor Companies has painstakingly restored and renovated many of the fascinating original architectural features of this downtown Jacksonville landmark, including the marble staircase, terrazzo floors and the grand Palladian windows.  The 1937 addition to the building has been converted into a two-story commercial arcade with access through the building to Monroe Street. The Carling is a distinctive home that blends the enduring grandeur of a time gone by with today's finest amenities to create a unique experience in carefree metropolitan living. Situated in a premier downtown location,  The Carling offers a wealth of amenities, including a 1,000 square foot state-of-the-art fitness center with complete circuit equipment and cardio theater. A resident clubroom with hospitality kitchen, recreation area and media room as well as casual sitting areas are all part of The Carling's elegant amenities.      
The Carling is an animal friendly community and we know you and your animal will love living here. Our animal fee is $350 (non-refundable for each animal). Animal rent is $20 per animal, per month. I couldn't ask for a better home!

Living at The Carling has been incredible. I feel so safe and at home in my newly renovated apartment. My views of downtown are awesome. I love being able to catch a sunset, see all of the events from above and that doesn't even compare to the light that my large windows provide. Coming home every day to local coffee from Vagabond, friendly staff that go above and beyond and such a beautiful historic building just can't be beat! It seems like they have an event planned almost weekly for us residents. I recommend anyone looking in the Downtown area to check out The Carling. I'm so happy here!
