I’ve lived in The Century for 3.5 years. Overall, it’s a great building with excellent service — the concierge team is consistently friendly and helpful, and maintenance requests are handled quickly and professionally. Daily life here is very easy: the building is clean, secure, and well-managed. The design is also a big plus — sleek Scandinavian style with high-end finishes, quality appliances, and beautiful fishtail parquet floors. However, there are some downsides. Rent and fees are high, and the building is not under rent control — my rent has increased by about $600 over three years, which is a significant jump. While this may be similar to other high-end, professionally managed properties in DC, it’s still a major pain point. There’s also no pool, which feels like a missing amenity at this price level. Elevators are often down or under maintenance. Street parking is challenging; availability is inconsistent and the area is heavily monitored, so tickets are common. Overall, it’s a comfortable, low-stress place to live with great design and excellent service.

I've lived at the Century for a few years now and love it. Rent keeps going up, but I always find a reason to stay.

I like living at the Century because the location is superb, the building is very well maintained and the units are well designed and modernly equipped. All in all it is good value despite being pricy, especially due to most appliances working as they should be and the reliability of staff when any critical maintenance issue comes up.

Came for the washer-dryer in-unit; stayed because, well, it's amazing. :) I love my apartment unit -- and view of the cathedral in the distance! The windows and amount of light in this building make such a difference, especially in winter. The amenities are the best I've ever enjoyed in my decade+ of living in this area of the district; and the staff are incredibly personable, lovely, and kind. 10/10 would recommend! (And have -- at one point 2 of my friends lived in different units in the building :) )

I have lived in the Century since 2019 and am glad to call it my home. The units are great and location couldn't be better. It is definitely a great value.
