66 Summer Street
I have been living in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 7th floor of 66 Summer Street for about 1 year. The is fairly high in relation relative to my monthly earnings but the luxury apartment is quite nice. The location in downtown Stamford can get noisy (particularly on weekend nights) but is very convenient and puts you in the middle of small city with many restaurants and bars. It is also conveniently located near a bus stop and not too far from the train station, which can take you to New York City in an hour. Overall would recommend the apartment.
Expensive but Good Location
This is an expensive building, but the units are fairly nice and the location is great. Street noise and parking can be a problem, though.
66 Summer makes living in Stamford a treat
My wife and I used to live in new york, but moved to stamford in June 2019. We toured a number of apartments that were closer to the train station before choosing 66 Summer and so far we have been very happy with our choice. Noise is at a minimum, the gym never has more than a small handful of people in it, and the staff and maintenance people are fantastic. The biggest negative is probably the parking since the parking spots are all at the very top of the parking lot and it can sometimes be a bit of to find an empty spot, but there is usually enough parking. The other negative are the pet fees, you are charged every month for having a pet, but it looks like a lot of the rentals in stamford do this. The staff and management are really nice people, the management throws a small cheese-wine event or barbecue or holiday party almost every month for the residents. I remember being impressed that it was the building manager at the grill flipping the burgers for the residents. These sorts of things are small, and you shouldn't rent an apartment based on them, but its illustrative to just how nice and friendly the staff are. Maybe other buildings in Stamford are also like this and my views are colored by renting in new york where a lot of buildings try to nickel and dime you and are such a pain to deal with
