Taft Review
The Taft has been GREAT so far - I love everything about the interior of the building. The staff, the tall ceilings, the renovations that are going on (which are quiet and not noisy by the way). The AC/Hot Water works great. Also, the location is fabulous. Only downside is no included parking. Which really shouldn't detract from the property itself. This is downtown living, its honestly part of it. Luckily there is a parking garage right next door for a monthly fee. I'm really happy living here and can't get over the beautiful views. Forgot to mention, it's also secure! I love knowing that the building is locked and opened via fob for the residents. It gives me peace of mind. Thanks Taft! :)
Noisy at night
Ifs quite noisy outside especially at night. Even if i shut all the windows the noise is still there. I think it might be the fan for AC
An affordable option for international student/professional
The Taft is a nice place to live in. The front desk staff as well as security is welcoming and efficient. The concierge service is a plus. The building is going renovation which will make your staying even better than mine. The historic building is majestic, well located and surprisingly quiet for being downtown.
Overpriced for what you get.
Advertised luxury building experience but far from the luxury building reality. Paredim staff, Stephanie in particular, are not responsive and usually dismissive to resident concerns on safety and quality of common spaces/apartment issues. Definitely better managed apartment buildings in downtown New Haven for this price.
