There is a noticeable and increasing number of vehicles being stored in residential neighborhoods without valid permits. This needs to be enforced more consistently, as it is making it more difficult for residents with permits to find parking. If these vehicles belong to residents who have not purchased permits, that should also be addressed. The annual permit cost is a significant expense for residents who comply with the rules, and it is not equitable for others to avoid that cost while continuing to use limited residential parking spaces. The Presidio should strengthen enforcement of residential permit requirements in the Presidio residential neighborhoods so that parking access is fair, consistent, and available to residents who are following the rules.
