We love the neighborhood feeling, but the rent increases are tough.

Be CAREFUL signing your lease. Actually calculate what 4% is a year. We now pay $800 more PER MONTH thats how much it went up in just 2 years. It goes by fast snd now we cant afford to live here. Next year it will go up another $400! So in just 3 years we will pay $1,200 more PER MONTH. Its insanity! Be careful or you will need to make your stay here very temporary. 4% is a LOT if you do the math.

Absolutely LOVE living in the Presidio! What a magical and unique experience as an SF resident.

Rent increases of 5% a year are far above market and will cause financial hardship over the next few years in this market envirnoment. Additionally, the maintenance crew is slow to respond to important requests.

the rooms and closets are small. some rooms can barely fit a bed and the prices are too high for the square footage

In a city that prides itself on celebrating differences, there's something arrestingly picturesque about a streetscape of uniformity especially when the buildings are as easy on the eyes as the red brick duplexes that neatly line both sides of Portola Street. These three-bedroom units feature hardwood floors, updated kitchens, and sunrooms brimming with natural light, even on a typically San Francisco foggy day. Like neighboring Liggett Avenue, rooms for living and those for sleeping are on separate floors. Backyard patios invite dining outside and impromptu play dates with neighbors. An organic community garden further promotes the friendly vibe. When not in use, outdoor furniture and bikes and can be stashed in the basement. The restorative El Poln Spring picnic area is close at hand. The retail districts of Union, Chestnut, and California streets are just outside the Lombard and Presidio Gates.
