Amazing Staff & Amenities, But Noise Makes It Hard to Enjoy

One of the highlights of moving into Felix at The Society was working with Angelica — she was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout the leasing process. She made move-in smooth and was responsive to all my questions. The amenities also deserve credit: the gym, pools, and shared areas are truly top-notch and well-maintained. Unfortunately, the noise levels in my unit are a serious issue. I’m facing the freeway, and despite what appear to be double-paned windows, I’m woken up almost every morning by loud motorcycles, cars with modified exhausts, and constant traffic. It’s been going on for weeks, and the sound insulation is simply not effective. For a unit that’s well over $3,000/month, this kind of disturbance is unacceptable. While I appreciate the view of the hills, it doesn’t make up for the lack of peace and quiet. If you’re thinking about living here, make sure your unit is nowhere near the roads — or push for real soundproofing solutions. Felix has a lot of potential, but for me, the noise has seriously affected the quality of my experience.

This place is not what it seems

Firstly, our toilet has not been functioning for an extended period, despite numerous reports filed. Each time, the issue is marked as “completed,” though the problem persists. I have also been informed multiple times that a plumber would be sent to address the situation, but this has yet to happen. This has left us in a difficult position, as we are now relying on the restroom by the gym, which is neither convenient nor sustainable. Additionally, I have noticed a pattern with other maintenance requests I’ve submitted. They are often marked as “completed,” but the issues themselves remain unaddressed. This is frustrating and concerning, as it seems there is a gap in follow-through. Another pressing matter is the ongoing noise from our neighbors. Despite multiple complaints to security, the disturbances persist at all hours, often disrupting my household late at night. It has reached the point where my child is waking up as late as 2 a.m. due to the excessive noise. The situation is untenable and is negatively impacting our quality of life.
