A pleasant place to stay. The amenities are a pleasure to experience. Elevators have some problems, but seem to get fixed in a timely manner. The place is well taken care of.

I rarely leave negative reviews, hate to do this and definitely delete this if smoking problem will be solved. So the building is new. I really like the price, amenities, events, and location. But this is still Oakland, and you get people who don’t clean after themselves or their pets in the common areas, steal things from your balcony, violate parking, which can make you wait for 3 hours till someone’s car will be towed and SMOKE. This is the biggest concern for me — I have a strong weed smell in my apartment if my window is closed because people smoke in their units, and it goes to the common ventilation. If I open the window to get rid of this smell, the guys who smoke on their balconies literally all around me make the situation twice worse. Moreover you can also smell weed in the common halls and zones. Unfortunately, I have signed a contract for 18 months and I am impatiently waiting to move out of here due to my worsening asthma. If management tells you this is a smoke-free community — they are lying to you like they lied to me. They can’t enforce the rules they made in the leasing agreement, so if you don’t like it — they quote: “can’t do anything about it”. This is the worst smoking situation in my life. (And I lived in Turkey, Indonesia and China — the most smoking countries in the world). And it wasn’t even nearly as bad as now
