A special place that needs care

I've loved living here due to the location and the home I've made for myself there but the building is very poorly cared for and it's a shame because it would be great to have people over and feel happy about the space. The floors have been heavily damaged and unfixed for over 9 months now despite an initial sign saying it would be fixed in 12 weeks (!!) after the flooring arrived. Without explanation, the sign was quietly removed and the floor has been sealed up with DUCT TAPE. It's disgusting. Plus, the carpets look like they've never been cleaned let alone replaced. Just because the building is old does not mean it should not be well tended to/cared for. Additionally, considering it's a very busy street, the management company should seriously consider at least adding video cameras to the lobby area. I have seen homeless people sleeping on the couch down there. It is my hope that these issues will be fixed so that this building we call home FEELS like a home with proper living conditions.
