Great building, great value, great staff, lousy parking, neighborhood is iffy, the block is OK, but MacArthur Park down the hill is a mess.

I’ve had my apartment at Nob Hill Towers for more than 20 years! It’s a huge studio with separate kitchen and lots of storage. The walls are thick so you rarely hear neighbors. Lovely roof deck with panoramic view of the city, hills and Hollywood sign. Only drawback- if you have a car - is parking. Its an excellent location - convenient to freeways and public transportation. Very diverse tenant population and neighborhood.

Close to downtown, lots of public transportation No parking provided for most tenants so parking is a constant concern Homeless + drug users + gang activity Good neighbors Building not 100% secure from outsiders, but working on it MacArthur Park is being revitalized -- families and neighbors will use it Old building with old building character Owners carry out spotty maintenance -- frequent water shut off due to plumbing dysfunction Lots of light, great views of LA, depending on which side of building you're on Building manager is smart, professional and kind

LIVED HERE 2 MONTHS. BUILDING MANAGER IS VERY GOOD, RESPONSIVE. NEIGHBORS ARE RESPECTFUL AND PLEASANT. HALLWAY CARPETS SHOULD BE REPLACED AT SOME POINT -- MAYBE REMOVE & REPLACE W/ RUNNERS? I REALLY NEED PARKING, I'M A SENIOR, IT'S DIFFICULT TO PARK IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. I THOUGHT THERE WAS PARKING WITH 1 & 2 BEDROOMS, NO PARKING WITH STUDIO, BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE.

Knob Hill Towers aesthetically is the allure of this property, however as a tenant I find it difficult to be patient with issues like a broken elevators (both are out of service) when there is 7 flights of stairs and practically no parking, whereas the average tenant here has to walk up a steep hill from a parking spot that doesn’t belong to the building. Laundry’s machines need maintenance. I will say the community of neighbors in this building is very approachable and friendly and I’ve never witness a neighbor dispute so in a way that’s it’s own jewel. Also management will work with tenants and that is highly appreciated too.
