If you're seeing this and considering renting at The Americana, I URGE you to reconsider and read my review. Do not be misled by the Caruso brand or the aesthetic of the property. I am a current resident and have lived in two units to date. I plan to leave as soon as possible. Here are highlights of life at The Americana: 1) There is absolutely no sound attenuation in residential units. So if you want to hear Frank Sinatra for eight hours straight, this is the place for you. You will hear every rendition of the happy birthday song in each restaurant, every street performer's bad music, and just about every conversation on the property. 2) Residents cannot control the lights on their balconies, which shine directly into the bedrooms, until midnight. If sleeping while bathed in spotlights is your idea of relaxation, this is the place for you. 3) The leasing team will promise amenities that don't actually exist. Don't believe what they tell you. 4) The property advertises as pet-friendly but, it is not. There is no designated place to take your pets, but the owners collect monthly pet fees. We were admonished for taking our pets to the grassy areas on the property and threatened with fines. The property manager directed us to take our pets to nonexistent patches of grass on Central or Brand, off the property. 5) Service requests are routinely lost or forgotten. I have been waiting for more than five months for a repair. 6) The parking area for residents is shared with valet, which means your walk from your car to the elevator requires you to avoid speeding valet drivers eager to earn a tip, even if it means running into residents. 7) The parking validations for visitors work half the time. 8) The wi-fi for residents is poor on a good day. My Zoom calls drop at least once a day. 9) Getting packages delivered is like a game of hide and seek. Yesterday, my medication was delivered to a public area outside the locked residential area. I URGE YOU TO RECONSIDER LIVING HERE

Overall nice place to live. Interior of units need better appliances and upgrades to keep up with competition relative to price The safety and security is the selling point above quality of apartments/ unit . Amenities are nice.
