Living in Woodstock, GA

The city of Woodstock is a great place to live, as it has a small, diverse feel with a historic downtown area, making it very appealing to Atlanta area workers. The commute to Atlanta is also very reasonable, making Woodstock a prime area for those that don’t want to pay the expensive prices of living downtown. 

There aren’t many cons to living in Woodstock, although being so close to Atlanta, the city does have some traffic issues during rush hour in the morning and the evening. Things to do in Woodstock

There is a lot to do around Woodstock, including the beautiful historic downtown area where buildings date back as far as 1879. The brick paved sidewalks and stores that line the streets of the commercial downtown area are truly the heart of the city. The downtown area features tea rooms, antique shops, gift shops, coffee houses, and much more. 

Woodstock also has several beautiful parks worth visiting, where residents can have some fun in the sun and do it for free. One of the most popular places to go is the Park at City Center, where residents can enjoy beautiful landscaping, picnic areas, and several community events, including The Woodstock Summer Concert Series and the Fourth of July FreedomFest. 

Olde Rope Mill Park is another popular area park in Woodstock with lots of fun and family­friendly activities. The park features multiple mountain biking trails, picnic areas, and a scenic overlook where visitors can relax and enjoy the view or take part in some fishing. The park even has a bridge that connects to the other side of the river so visitors can see pieces of the old Rope Mill! 

For avid sports fans, it doesn’t get much better than living in Woodstock.
