I loved the previous management. I have been living here since October 2022. Unfriendly and Unhelpful Management Staff: The management team at Nobel Court consistently displayed a lack of courtesy and professionalism. Their unfriendly demeanor created an unwelcoming atmosphere, making it difficult to approach them with any concerns or inquiries. Moreover, their dismissive attitude towards tenant issues made it abundantly clear that they had little regard for the residents' well-being.

    Living in La Jolla, CA

Many people wish they could be on vacation year-round, and this is precisely the feeling La Jolla renters get to enjoy. This tropical San Diego suburb is famous for its pristine beaches, affluent lifestyle and idyllic weather all year long. La Jolla renters take advantage of the eternal summer by leading an active and healthy way of life. With its highly rated school system and bustling cultural scene, this is one of the most sought-after renting choices in the San Diego area. However, this slice of paradise comes at a price. As is the case in most coastal California cities, the cost of living in La Jolla is significantly higher than the national average but also higher than the California average.

    Renting in La Jolla, CA

Most La Jolla residents are homeowners living in dreamy communities close to the water, but the city also has a good selection of rental properties. Housing becomes more affordable inland but remains significantly above the national average. Unless money is not an issue, you will most likely find a rental property in a neighborhood along the San Diego freeway. Under the California laws, landlords are allowed to collect a security deposit equivalent to up to two months’ rent for unfurnished apartments or three months’ rent for furnished rentals on top of the first month’s rent. Some pocket neighborhoods, such as the downtown area, Little Italy, Core-Columbia and Harborview, are great for pedestrians and include numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance.

    Things for renting

    Shopping in La Jolla, CA

La Jolla is a shopping enthusiast’s paradise. From high-end retailers to quirky local boutiques, there is something for everyone. Downtown La Jolla is renowned for its eclectic stores and eateries, making it the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll. Westfield UTC is a trendy outdoor mall that includes established brand names such as Nordstrom, Tiffany and Anthropologie, but also an ice rink, a movie theater and dozens of restaurants. For more local wares, renters enjoy shopping in the Ivanhoe district. The Design District is an endless source of inspiration, featuring vintage stores and custom design boutiques to make your home as unique as you are. Finally, other neighborhoods such as the Spanish-inspired La Plaza La Jolla or the Shoppes at La Jolla Village Square satisfy any remaining shopping needs.

    Transportation in La Jolla, CA

You will most likely need a car to explore everything La Jolla has to offer. However, the community also boasts several public transportation options. A number bus routes serve the area and connect La Jolla to nearby San Diego. The routes cover some of the main interest points in La Jolla, including the Village and UCSD. If arriving in La Jolla by train, using either Amtrak or the local Coaster service, shuttles are available from the station to downtown La Jolla. However, the most reliable way for renters to get around La Jolla — a especially for more out-of-the-way destinations — is by car, whether it’s their own, a rental, a taxi or an Uber or Lyft. The bike infrastructure is minimal outside of the waterfront area.
