We stayed here for two years before ultimately purchasing a property in Tracy. After two years, we sold our property and moved back to this community because of how much we loved not only the scenic area that this complex provides but also our love for the city of Pleasanton. The entire staff is pleasant. Everything is well-run and decisions seem to be for the benefit of the community. An example of this is the move to centralize all mailboxes to one location *chef's kiss*. To those working at Valley Plaza, thank you all for your great work in keeping our community safe and active.

It is unparalled in Oakland as it stands alone overlooking Lake Merritt and far beyond. The apartments are HUGE and every single one has a massive balcony. The thick walls and concrete floor make it soundproof. The staff are very attentive. The large, secure parking garage is part of the building itself.

Anonymous on Jun 1, 2023We were some of the first people to move in here. The staff were very helpful with the process and took great care of us. The building has started to fill up as more people are moving to the property. With more people things usually start to degrade; that has not been the case here. The day time staff stays on top of things, the maintenance team is fast to respond to any request, and the night watchmen actually show up and patrol the property. I strongly recommend Legacy at Hayward.

It’s not the fanciest place, but it is comfortable and well-run by the building/community manager and the maintenance guy. There have been some issues with the building due to uncontrollable factors, but I’ve really appreciated the communication and effort from the staff to address them. That to me is always important.
