I have been happy with the 13x45 unit that we are renting now just over 3 years. Yes, the prices have gone up - as with everything. Clean, dry location and look forward to keeping my things secure, dry and clean. ... Read more

The owner Nick is a liar and a crook! He's been sued and will likely be again for how he ILLEGALLY conducts business. Yes, I'll be the first to admit, my monthly payments weren’t being made as I was out of state for several month taking care of my aunt with terminal cancer. Someone who owes me a lot of money had agreed to make the payments while I was gone... unfortunately, they didn't make a single payment. There was ZERO attempt of communication from Nick in regards to the missed payments, as required by law via electronic or certified mail. He claims he "texted and made numerous phone calls"... which is an absolute lie. My attorney even checked the phone records dating back six months, which is far back as the phone company allowed. Not that it matters because the law clearly states "electronic ( email) or certified mail". He did neither. He ILLEGALLY had my personal property removed from the unit and held at a different location until payment was made. I'm still missing items and a tool box, snowmobile, dresser, and kitchen table were all damaged or completely destroyed. The destroyed dresser was the last item my grandmother, who passed away, gave me. I would never recommend anyone to ever rent from Big Ring Storage. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 385 to 1,170 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Big Ring Self Storage - 3200 North Mayflower Drive start from $50 and can go up to $525 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
