A huge "Thank You" to Joy for all her help through the years. I have stored my Class A RV for over five years and because of the help from Joy I always felt my rig was safe and secure. We also rented a larger unit to store our car while out in our RV. Always top notch. Frequently Joy would see me leaving with the RV and she would open the gate for me so I did not have to get out and punch in the code. An extra little help that was much appreciated. Thank you. ... Bayhill Storage is a top notch storage facility, they are clean storage rooms with easy access. the security gate has easy access coming in or leaving, Joy & Amber and the whole staff are wonderful to work with and if you need a moving truck, they have Penske rent trucks on the premises. I would use the facility again if the need arises. the only negative to the storage rooms is that the sensor lights stay on very long. ... Read more

Had a great experience renting a 10x10 from bay hill storage for about 2 years. The facility is clean, and well secured. The units are made using double layered sheet metal and the garage doors lock securely. There was no problems with moisture or vermin even through two winters. Joy and Amber have been a delight to interact with, always helpful and were very helpful and generous when we needed to rent a cube van to move all our stuff out. Will definitely be going back if we needed a storage space again. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Bayhill Storage - 15935 Preston Place include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
