The staff is always attentive and helpful whenever I have questions or need assistance. I feel completely secure storing my belongings here thanks to their great security measures. Having the owner on-site really makes a difference in the level of care and attention to detail. Highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for reliable storage!" ... Read more

Excellent experience renting a unit from here. Marcel is a super nice guy, fair and understanding. The few people who’ve left bad reviews clearly have a problem on their end, don’t put any credence behind them. Highly recommend this place. ... Read more

This guy is an absolute crook and liar!! We were recommended a unit by the owner Marcel Leclair. We looked at the unit and realized that it would not work for us so I called to let him know the next day and He told me he would credit us back. He shorted our refund $30 and when and I called to ask why I was told it was a processing fee. A $30 processing fee for not even using the unit?? Pretty bad when a business owner is so desperate for money that he has to steal $30 from us!!! ... Read more

This place is a dump and the owner a pathetic rude excuse for a business owner. We were offered a unit here, first month free, when renting a Uhaul trailer. We drove 1.5 hours from our home to drop a large item for storage and then head to airport. On arrival to the site at 1230 the office was closed, no note, phone number, no one around on the grounds. Called the number found online. No answer several times. Called Uhaul and they tried to call the “business.” After not knowing what to do we got gas, came back, tried calling again. While on phone with Uhaul the owner called us back and was so rude and sarcastic. He had left an envelope in a box outside with a contract. Wanted a cc number over the phone, said we had to pay for first month (was free with Uhaul) and when we asked about that he was such a jerk and said well you dont have to rent from me! From this awful business, customer service, and personal interaction with this man I have a good understanding of the quality of person he is. Do NOT bother with this person or business. Oh, and we were also quite surprised to find the online pics of a nice facility were NOT taken at this dump! Wow! I called a moving company and storage down the road and drove over there and experieced professional and present staff, quick leasing process, and a nice facility-thankful for that little blessing in this disaster. ... Great storage solution in the greater Burlington/UVM area. We were in a pinch trying to store an entire apartment plus two dorm rooms worth of stuff in between leases. Having to coordinate student housing for two kids both on and off campus was a challenge but Marcel was so helpful and made the process as easy as it could be. Clean, safe, accessible facility, quick drive from Burlington. Highly recommend. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at New Mini Storage - 220 Colchester Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
