This was my first and last time dealing with this company. My experience was extremely disappointing and I strongly advise others to stay away. When I first rented a unit in August, I was told the smaller size I needed was unavailable. The agent offered me a larger unit with a “special discount” of $85/month, and I agreed. The first month I was correctly charged $85, but the very next month they suddenly charged me $189 without my consent. I called four times to fix this issue, and every time I was told that the manager would call me back within 48 hours. Not once did anyone call me back. I also asked to switch to a smaller unit and was refused. The customer service is unprofessional, unhelpful, and misleading. They made promises they never kept, charged me more than agreed, and completely ignored my repeated attempts to resolve the issue. This feels like a scam and I would never recommend this company to anyone. Avoid at all costs. ... Read more

Simple sign up process. We got this storage unit for our daughter to use during the summer as a student at VT. I was able to find what I needed online and then confirmed everything with a quick call. They sent me all of codes and everything I would need. Check out and terminating my lease was just as easy. I highly recommend and will use again next year! ... Read more

Valley storage offered me everything I needed. An affordable place to store my things. And, unlike U-Haul, Valley Storage actually honored the reservation for the unit size that I reserved, which was really nice. ... Read more

My husband and I are moving from MD to VA and we reserved a unit on a Monday for the following Saturday. They took our card info and we were told we just needed to show up on Saturday and fill out the paperwork. We drove 5 hours with a fully packed uhaul to discover that they gave our unit away. I also didn't appreciate how the lady spoke to us and handled the situation. Extremely frustrated and disappointed with this place! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Valley Storage - 390 Bell Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 16 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Valley Storage - 390 Bell Road start from $50 and can go up to $313 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
