I have been with Alamo Storage for a few years now. I have always been treated with respect. If I have a problem, Morgan (office manager), has always tried to help. She is awesome to talk to. I am very happy with the service they provide. I must be happy to have stayed with them for years. ... Read more

Awesome storage facility. Highly recommend. Had 2 units that held our belongings for several months during a cross-state move. No issues at all. Clean units. Secure facility. Enough room to get our 26ft U-Haul through. Never felt worried about the security of our units. ... Read more

Nice friendly staff. Good facility. When my credit card number changed and the bill didn’t get automatically paid one month, they understood and waived the late fee. Little things like that make it a 5-star storage facility. Not a “Premier” storage location with high-tech locks, finished, painted walls, multiple camera feeds on their website, covered walks. But I’m not comparing it to those places because their cost places them more in the range of a motel than a storage facility. It is a great value for the price. ... Read more

The price is good, and it provides easy access from Harrison Blvd. Those are the biggest selling points to me. Sometimes there's a lot of cars parked right along a tight turn. Probably the thing I like the least is there is dirt inside my unit I can't sweep up (hard to get to, in the corners). The street is dirty and it gets inside my unit. It's black and sticks to stuff. In the winter ice on the roof melts and drips and spatters into my unit so next time I'd get a south facing unit. Also I wish the walls were painted or looked better since I need to take photos of items in store so I can list them for sale and it doesn't look very good. I asked if I could paint them and got a no. My first storage unit was further away and worse but a lot cheaper. This is a happy medium. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 150 to 288 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Alamo Storage Facility - 5808 Harrison Blvd start from $170 and can go up to $255 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
