**READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO BUSINESS HERE** You should expect to have issues contacting this business and they will have no issue charging your card for a unit you aren't using and pretend to not get your calls. They do not often answer their phone and voicemails are not returned. They don't give out their email. They were charging my husband's card for months after we moved out and they ignored our voicemails to cancel the unit and autopay. When I finally did get a hold of them, they asked why I didn't drop a note or stop by in person. They seemed completely unaware that in 2020 people don't just "drop by" for fun. They will justify all this with a folksy attitude and a smattering of religious quotes. If you want to take an extremely long time reading religious quotes on the wall to set up your unit, and are ok showing up in person during their inconvenient working hours to cancel the unit, and otherwise pay for the unit in perpetuity, then this is the place for you. Otherwise I HIGHLY recommend going literally anywhere else. ... Read more

I had my stuff in storage for a bit when I moved to California. They were always very kind with me and understanding when I would be a little late on payments. They also helped me clean out the unit when I couldn’t make it there in person. It’s definitely not the fanciest storage in Pittsburgh, but the price is right and the employees are kind and helpful. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Stash-Store Self Storage - 157 South 26th Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Stash-Store Self Storage - 157 South 26th Street start from $95 and can go up to $180 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
