Read some helpful reviews of Prime Storage (PA05) at 1851 Arsenal Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Chasity and the Arsenal team have been stellar. From the time my mom passed to current date where I needed to transition to a different unit. Chasity was even able to secure a unit adjacent to my current unit, which was beyond a blessing. I travel from New England to manage this storage and they’ve just been great, but mainly the shining star has been Chastity ... Read more

Prime storage was okay at first until my second payment was due. No, one mentioned a free month or any price. Hikes so soon...but a 100 % price hike was extremely high, but I will say the representative at prime storage was willing to work with me to lower the rate. And if you're not paying attention to your email to know in advance and have auto pay, you're just s out a luck. Again....6 months later Another price height was in the making, with another one hundred percent rate increase. That's when I decided it was time to go. I would definitely pay attention to your emails. Probably opt out of autopay. Don't let your storage be a place that you can't easily move it when you're ready to get out of there. Put your stuff on Dolly's. Shop around. ... Read more

I believe I was wronged. The reason is that I recently rented a storage unit, and three months later, my monthly rate increased from $179 to $204. When I called, I was told that I had been paying a promotional rate. However, to my recollection, I was only informed that the promotion covered the first month free. Additionally, I was told that the computer might raise my rent again. What kind of scam is Prime Storage running? Now, I’m looking to switch to U-Haul because, as I understand it, their prices should stay the same. The only good thing about that place is the customer service from Chasity. ... Read more

Chasity, the manager, was super friendly, fast, and helpful. It took less than 30 minutes to rent a unit, purchase lock and keys, receive code to gate, and for her to show us where the unit is and how everything works. Also, their app is very convenient. ... Read more
Mrs. O. - 17 April 2025
I rented a storage unit here and was shocked when, after just two months, they increased my monthly rate by over $40 without clear explanation. When I questioned it, they told me they'd only reduce it by half – which still wasn't acceptable. I never agreed to such changes and felt blindsided. I had invested time and effort into organizing and setting up my unit, only to be forced to move everything again – which ended up costing me hundreds in moving expenses. To make things worse, the facility didn't feel secure. On multiple occasions, I noticed people lingering behind me trying to access the property without authorization. I reported it, but never felt truly safe storing my items there. If you're looking for a storage unit, especially for business purposes, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Between the surprise rate hikes and lack of proper security, this place simply isn’t worth the risk. ... Read more
Khalid S. - 15 April 2025
One of the most underhanded, duplicitous, and disgraceful businesses I've ever encountered. I rented a 10x10 unit in January for $90/month after taxes, fees, etc. Within 60 days they doubled the charges (92.6%, actually.), claiming imaginary "changes in the market, availability, etc. I asked the CSR when was the last time the rates decreased due to market pressures, she replied they have never done so. I then informed her that she must not know how markets work because no "market" in history has never not decreased in value. I told said it is obvious that the online price was a teaser and they buried the rate changes in the fine print. I have emptied out my unit after letting them know that they will never see a thin, red dime from me ever again and that I'd sooner burn everything I own myself than to have it under their roof for one second longer. ... No issues with the storage unit, except it was very expensive. They charged me an extra month when I lived out because I didn’t provide a 15 day notice, which seems completely arbitrary. Read the fine print, because what they tell you verbally and what you sign aren’t necessarily the same thing. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Prime Storage (PA05) - 1851 Arsenal Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Prime Storage (PA05) - 1851 Arsenal Blvd start from $100 and can go up to $577 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
