The prices are pretty great compared to other places. The lady who runs it is very nice. I send my check in the mail because it’s hard to find her when they are open since she’s usually walking around the grounds so call ahead of time if you need to see someone in person although I don’t mind that too much. When I close my unit door, I have to slightly pull it half an inch up once it’s completely closed for the pin to slide over, it took me a good 10 minutes of messing with it to figure out that little defect. Otherwise, the units seem pretty safe. I can see humidity, heat and cold will get in easily though since they aren’t temperature regulated and insulated too well. The hours of operation are the reason I’m giving this a 4 star. I think all storage units should be available 24/7. If they aren’t, invest in cameras or higher security to make so you feel safe enough to do so. The gate being closed so early is very inconvenient for me. ... Read more

Hours on website and Google are not the actual office hours and they are both different. Does not have 24 he access, website says 8PM but I was told it's actually 6PM. Does not accept credit/debit cards. Everything about trying to rent here is incredibly inconvenient. ... Read more

This is a great storage facility for the price. The only parts that sucks is that they are only open until sundown. If you need in after sundown, then oh well. If you call however and let her know that you were running a few minutes late, she can help but leaving the gate open for 10 minutes or so. But for the price, you cannot beat it. If you work second shift, then you want to make sure you go to the storage facility before work. The gates are usually open sunup to sundown not before and not after. This does help keep out crime though, but if you are somebody who works 12-hour shifts or second shift then there could be an issue. ... Read more

Love this place! Manager is EXTREMELY helpful and informative. If she can't accommodate you, she will direct you to another facility. I've found they have the cheapest rates in the area. A happier customer is a return customer!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Affordable Mini Storage - 1201 South Main Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
