It was great for storing a car through the winter. The move out process was such an easy phone call thanks to Maria, she was wonderful. Will rent a unit from Bolt again, especially if I can find a great deal like they had. ... Read more

We rented 2 units here starting in June of 2024. The climate controlled unit we rented was excellent, no issues other than not providing us the code to the locked external door upon rental. We were able to call and receive the code on our first visit with little hassle. The non-climate controlled unit, however, was extremely disappointing. Our initial rent was $40 a month. It went up to $86.50 after around 6 months. Then it increased to $128.60 in July this past year, which was our signal to jump ship. Upon moving our belongings out of the unit, we discovered that somehow one of our boxes got soaked through and some of our things had to be thrown away. We also found mouse droppings in numerous boxes, and a few things had been shredded by mice. While I understand that these units are not sealed from the elements, I feel that protection from water and mice is asking the minimum, especially if they're going to double the rent in a year's time. Also, when I called to cancel, they offered to drop the rent back to the prior monthly rate - so why bother to raise it at all? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Bolt Storage - 7870 West Ridge Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 150 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Bolt Storage - 7870 West Ridge Road start from $35 and can go up to $115 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
