Great place to rent a storage unit from. Fair pricing and no hassle for cancelling like I've experienced with some past storage unit rentals I've had. Also nice that it's a breeze to pay online through their site. ... Read more

I’ve rented from 5 different storage unit rentals within the area the past 10 years and Goldenrod was by far the top for me. The convenience of their online system is great and it was the cleanest unit I ever rented. I didn’t have any water get in and damage my stored items like I’d had happen with other units. If I ever need a storage unit in the area again it’ll be Goldenrod. ... Read more

First time renting a storage unit, Jane was very helpful and easy to deal with. She explained everything to me and was upfront about all the costs and how things work. The unit I got was clean as a whistle, not even any dust. All in all a great experience. ... Read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Mice chewed holes through my couch, and the 'owners' think that's my fault. The next ones i catch, I'll be sure to leave at the little shed-office's door. Since the owners don't believe they have mice. UPDATE: I WAS JUST GIVEN TWO WEEKS TO GET MY STUFF OUT OF THEIR BINS DUE TO ME SPEAKING THE TRUTH ABOUT THEIR FACILITY ON HERE. Once furniture is ruined, it's ruined. The owner is extremely condescending and full of herself for a struggling small business. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Goldenrod Storage - 2331 Daisy Street include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Security Camera, Unstaffed Location, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
