If I could give less than 1 star I would. The property manager Thomas no showed multiple appts. I drove over an hour and had friends meet me at the 15700 location in King city, for a 2:30 appt to move items out of my unit. Waited over an hour. Thomas never showed. I called the customer service line and was told someone would call me back. Silence. Thomas evidently claims that customer service is important to him, but seems to have no concerns about no showing appts. Spoke with the individual scheduled before me, and Thomas no showed their appt as well. Really great look Public Storage. DO NOT RENT A UNIT AT PUBLIC STORAGE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. ... DO NOT RENT HERE! The gates are always broken, codes never work and the manager is never here or available. It’s also very hard to access from 99w. Save your money and time and go somewhere that will actually allow you access to your storage unit. I’ve been trying to get my things for a month! This place is a joke! ... Read more

First the good news- clean, well kept property, helpful staff, great use of technology for self service from soup to nuts- you can rent a unit online, complete all the paperwork online, pay, get your assigned unit and access code within minutes and move in on the same day, 100% self service and efficient. Now the not-so-good news- This is our third unit at this location and we've had access code problems that required staff assistance each time, and while the staff is professional and helpful, this location isn't staffed during all posted office hours, creating a frustrating hassle each time we needed help. We had trouble getting the access code to work upon our first rental and again, twice, upon transfer from one unit to another (we've downsized twice). You can go online to schedule a "Move Out" and both times we moved the access code worked to get into the property, but didn't work to get out (during business hours) and there was nobody on site to help. My feedback to the company when they sent a Customer Survey upon Move Out was to leverage 20+ year old telephone technology to transfer a caller to regional or national Customer Service when there is nobody in the office. Easy, cheap, a no-brainer, and would have made our experience much easier. A tip I figured out after our most recent experience is to schedule the "Move Out" for the day after you actually move out and hopefully we won't get locked in (or out) next time. Prices are competitive and attractive online but change and usually increase if you don't follow through and rent immediately. I found I was able to find the lower price again by clearing my cache and using another browser or device. After you rent, the "online sale" price will increase significantly sometime between 6 months and a year, which helped prompt our downsizing. If you "transfer" you won't get the online sale price so you can cancel your current unit and rent another one to get the best price if you don't mind moving your stuff. Rent is charged month to month, and rent increases are notified one month in advance. Cancelling on the Last or First day of a month means you won't have to pay for the entire next month (transfers are pro-rated but you don't get the lowest online price). You may be able to negotiate a discount instead of moving but we haven't tried that yet as we preferred to downsize. The bottom line is that once your access code works and you're moved in, everything is easy peasy, but god help you if you need in person help onsite. ... Read more

I rented a unit here for a couple of months. The whole process went very smoothly. I spent about 1 minute in the office on the first day and the last day. Otherwise, it was very easy to use the Public Storage app for everything else. They called before move-in to see if they could answer any questions and called after move-out to make sure everything went as planned. Maybe they were running a special when I signed up, but the space was much less expensive than another public storage facility in the area that our family has also used. ... Read more

Rented a storage unit online and was told to come the following day during business hours to gain access to my unit. I show up at business hours and there was no one here, doors locked. I have a moving truck full of things in the parking lot and cannot gain access to my unit. After I get through the phone tree there's still no answer. My only option is to leave a message and hope someone will get back to me today. So glad I coordinated an entire moving team and rentals to get this done today. Even if this issue gets solved today I don't see myself giving this business more than two stars. I will update and add another star if I even hear from the company today. I am livid. ... Read more

The best part about this location at 15700 SW Pacific Hwy is one of their employees, Thomas. Anytime I've had an issue or question and worked with Thomas he was incredibly responsive, calm, and helpful. Public Storage is lucky to have him working there. Overall this location is good but the constant rate increases are annoying. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 15700 SW Pacific Hwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 20 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 15700 SW Pacific Hwy start from $30 and can go up to $661 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
