Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 450 South Ranchwood Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Stored my stuff there for 2 years and when I went to move out everything was covered in powdery mildew and a lot of it was damp. It wasn’t climate controlled but it was an inner unit. Also the price did increase multiple times and ended up being double the original amount. Every time I visited the property staff were extremely rude. The place is very secure is the only reason I gave two stars. You have to put in a code for absolutely everything so that was reassuring. Every time I logged into the website or amp it forced me to reset my password so using the app to open the gate wasn’t even an option. ... Read more

PLEASE, take into account what others are writing before you rent here. I wish I had listened to the reviews. If you’re only looking to store your things for a few months, a few years look elsewhere.. NOT Public Storage. On the outside, this place looks “GREAT”—but it’s anything but that on the inside. The units have spiders, no lights, patchy drywall, and the driveways are so narrow that it’s nearly impossible for multiple vehicles to pass through at the same time. They also have a strict “trash rule” where you’re not allowed to dump anything large in their dumpsters, which makes cleaning out a unit incredibly inconvenient. I’m a single mother of two, who just left a dv situation and when I first rented here, I thought it would be a helpful solution for our quick move. Instead, it’s brought nothing but stress. I’ve spent SO MUCH MONEY at this place… they are literally robbing you. If your payment isn’t made in full by the 1st of the month, you’re immediately hit with steep late fees. Even if you’re caught up with your full payment except for a small $30 late charge, you’ll lose access to your belongings, and the app CONSTANTLY warns that your unit is at risk of auction. The constant emails and alerts feel overwhelming and anxiety-inducing. I’ve had my 10’x15’ unit for almost two years now. Even though I’ve always kept up with payments, it’s been a full year since I’ve gone to the unit because just being on the premises makes me uneasy. All I need is the man power to empty it out and be done. There are also a few other very, VERY uncomfortable things about this property that I will not write on a public platform. I’ll just say this… if you’re someone on a tight budget, if you already deal with anxiety, or if you value clear and fair policies, please consider other options. I could go on and on… Please don’t give this place your money. ... Read more

My rate was raised from $184 per month to $235 per month without warning. When we called originally they brought the price back down to the $184 that lasted for 4 months before they raised it back up to $235. We called repeatedly for two months then finally my husband went up there (we live 3 hours away at this point) and he was told that the manager would get back to us, a month later still no word. So we moved our stuff out of the unit. While moving our stuff we discovered a lock on the dumpster and since we no longer live in Yukon we can’t take our trash to the dump so admittedly we left some stuff there. It wouldn’t fit in one of the two trucks and trailer we were using and we had/have no way to get rid of it. Well that got their attention they finally got ahold of us to let us know that if we didn’t get rid of the rest of the stuff they would charge us between $400-$600 to get rid of what was left in the unit if we didn’t get it out by the 31st. They then called back and said they had to put one of their locks on the unit until then to “protect” our stuff so we can call when we’re ready to get the stuff but the only problem is no one ever answers the phone so how exactly are we supposed get the stuff out!? When we expressed this concern We were met with “well I’m only here half a day once a month”. Make it make sense cause I am at a loss. Don’t store your stuff here unless you want price gouging and a complete and utter lack of communication or decency. ... Read more

I was extremely pleased with my overall experience during my rental process of the storage unit. Christopher, the site manager, assisted me during my storage rental process. His pleasant demeanor and professionalism made the process very pleasant. The initial documentation process was fast and efficient. Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 450 South Ranchwood Blvd start from $14 and can go up to $111 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
