Read some helpful reviews of Extra Closet Self Storage at 5980 NW 36th, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Awful!!!!! Just absolutely AWFUL!!!!!!! Have zero management on property, raised the price before even 6 months exponentially in my opinion, my unit was broken into months ago and yet I can't get into it myself, if you are just a day late they lock you out yet you pay your unit but TWO ENTIRE WEEKS LATER and THEY STILL HAVEN'T REMOVED THEIR LOCK!!!! I wish more than anything I had gone ANYWHERE ELSE but HERE! If I could give a negative review I would.... Also I have never written a bad review and I am 40 years old if that doesn't tell you the degree of how dissatisfied and underserved by this particular facility then I don't know what does..... This is the worst thing that I have ever spent my money on seriously! ... Read more

The owners aren't trying to help you out. They dont keep up with the property or locks. My stuff was stolen from this place. 4 foot tall weeds growing all around and inside property with plenty of trash. This place needs to be shut down, and the owners should be fined and held accountable for all the theft that goes on here ... Read more

It was 5 stars but lately the on site manager has been slacking. We were late with a payment and they put the lockout locks on which I understand, but it's been 3 weeks since it was paid up and they still haven't taken the locks off. I called Friday at 15 til 5 and was assured the manager was on her way to unlock it but when we went it was still locked. Now online is says my next bill which isn't due until the first of October, is an outstanding balance. It even says it's not due until then. They need to do better or hire someone who will actually be there ... Read more

Bought a storage unit they were auctioning online. They took my money but nobody is onsite and you can't call anyone to actually get your unit. They just redirect you in a circle until your 72 hours is up and nobody ever calls you back. Crooks. Do not trust these people. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Extra Closet Self Storage - 5980 NW 36th include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Gate, Parking and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Extra Closet Self Storage - 5980 NW 36th start from $29 and can go up to $129 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
