Was sad when Ms Joann left, these people called police on me and I was LEAVING already I can't make this up, seemed like it was racially charged, I'm seeing other reviews with similar situations. The management that is there now has shown constant lack of understanding, not to mention they bad mouth customers when they think no one can hear them, if it were possible I could post recordings of the name calling and disrespect caught on audio. Poor customer service and communication skills with no regard for each individual circumstance or situation. The facilities are infested with pests so be sure you have your own defense in place. The roofs have multiple leaks and are very dangerous because there are leaks around the lighting areas of the climate control building. The climate control does not actually work the units have been faulty for almost 2 years now, I should know I was a customer. There have been a few times where I've seen one of the women from the front office speed around the facility which is very dangerous. It's a much different place now and with the current staff that is there I wouldn't be so sure as to leave my property at that location, not anymore at least. ... Read more

I had a fantastic experience at this SecureCare Storage location, thanks to Lori! She was welcoming, professional, and made the rental process effortless from start to finish. Lori patiently explained my options and helped me choose the ideal unit. I had some issues with my items and Lori went above and beyond to help me resolve the issue on the same day. I’ve been renting here for 3 years, and I’m honestly so relieved that the new management got the man living in his unit removed. He was sleeping and even cooking in there—I had a few scary encounters with him. I understand that we all fall on hard times, but criticizing the manager for simply doing her job is unfair. I've seen him hop the gate or walk in after someone opened the gate with their code. I've seen him running wiring into his unit to steal electricity. The wiring had been cut multiple times to probably stop him, but he kept coming back. Yes, the AC is faulty, but that’s not something a property manager can approve—it has to go through higher-ups. Attacking her instead of the company isn’t right. (I would know working in a similar field) One night, she had to have caught him and had him removed, and honestly, I feel much safer now knowing a random person isn’t roaming around at night. Also pulling the race card in this situation isn’t fair—she was just doing her job. Plus if you've ever talked to her, you would know. Thank you SecurCare! ... Read more

This is a solid storage facility and I definitely recommend it, but it would probably be less remarkable without Jo Ann. She makes this SecurCare special, and adds a very personal touch! She treats renters like people, and has been able to help me out when life happens or things have gone awry (which is very infrequently - truly this place lives up to the "secure" title). ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at SecurCare Self Storage - 11122 East 61st Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 345 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by SecurCare Self Storage - 11122 East 61st Street start from $36 and can go up to $147 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
