I have never seen someone on a blatantly discriminatory power trip in my life. The white woman who runs the storage saw 2 male workers there to move a customer..This woman immediately accused them of attempting to " case the place " and steal. She then immediately called the police. Instead of asking the customers name they were there for. Shame on you. You need to lose your job. ... Read more

Purchased a unit at auction threw a 3rd party website. Unit was missing an item that was clearly visible in the pictures. I asked if I could get a partial refund and the lady went to call her boss. I continued loading the stuff onto my trailer. I get about 3/4 of the way done and the very helpful lady comes back and tells me her boss wants to talk to me so I oblige. She told me that there was absolutely nothing she could do about it missing even though she is the one that locked the unit. (Sounds fishy to me). Told me my options were unload everything and put everything back and get refunded, which would’ve been okay if I hadn’t wasted 2 1/2 hrs of my time at that point. Was told I’d revive a phone call from someone higher up than the “boss” I spoke to and haven’t. I have reported this company to the third party website since their listings don’t match their physical location since items clearly visible just walk away on their premises. Just to emphasize the nice lady working the facility that was there was very helpful although I didn’t catch her name. ... Read more

I had a storage at this place for almost 3 years , at one point I almost lost my storage and they cut my lock off before the auction date , I did however pay the amount owed and my unit was no longer going to be auctioned, at that point they said they put a lock back on my unit and it was fine, well it wasn't. I was told a video was taken and it wasn't so when I moved my stuff out about 5 months later I discovered a bunch of my stuff was missing, I was devastated and no one could tell me anything. The lock they secured my unit with was a plastic lock and the cameras they have are useless and the security gate where u enter ur code to get in has no kept records as to when or how many times the code has opened the gate. I reported it to the office when I realized my stuff was missing and they acted like I was crazy or not being honest about the things being gone. I was and still am sick over the whole ordeal. I still haven't gotten a clear answer as to why this secure place some how got breached and my stuff got taken. They did work with me when I got behind but I always paid the fees and rent and I never thought I needed to go do an inventory on my stuff but I was wrong because it was taken. I could have made a police report but I don't see the point when I don't even know the exact date my stuff was taken and exactly everything that is gone. I say good luck putting anything here. You may not loose anything but then again u might be leaving a review just like I am doing. Gate code- useless, cameras- useless.... Stuff recovered- nothing nor will it ever be. I don't suggest putting anything here unless u don't care that it could be taken with no explanation as to when, how or who..... I moved in 2017 and moved out May 2020. ... Read more

Also it was at 6 before close I only needed her to wait for 10 minutes and she didnt want to. Stay away from this place if you can. Place is sorry do not use, takes 8 weeks to get a 15 dollar deposit back, I moved my motorcycle out on the 7th of the month and although I had paid in full the remainder of the rent was not returned...the rude lady on the phone told me if I would have been out by the 5th my remaining rent would have been refunded....isn't charging double rent on a property illegal. You bet it is. Zero stars ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Aspen Mini Storage - 12989 East 31st Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
