The worst storage ever, there prices are so low because they are the worst. My unit was always unassailable with cars blocking the storage door. I had to call the office every single time I wanted to get into my unit. I would sometimes get a response, sometimes I would not get a response. Some of the units sit on dirt, no concrete entrance where rats dig under the door and take over the unit leaving everything filthy. After days of requesting that the cars could be moved from the door of my unit, I got no response. I had ro remove my belongings around 3 cars. I would never recommend anyone to use this storage unless it was to junk a automatic. ... Read more

The New managers are awesome and keep people from being on the property that shouldn't. They have cleaned up the place since the last managers! They have cameras they monitor and they are cheaper than most other facilities. I love the managers no non sense attitude! I recommend this place to anyone! ... Read more

I would NOT use this place! I had my belongings here because a family member put my things in storage for me and this was the closest place to my old house. When I went in to make my first payment I asked the office lady about insurance options and she told me that they did not offer insurance and they did not allow outside insurance. It sounded strange to me but I left my things there because I didn't have the resources to take all of my belongings to another place. A month later I go into check my storage and all of my daughters toys, tv's, clothes, dishes, home decor, collections, pots pans dishes. almost EVERYTHING was gone! The employees that worked there at the time were lying about their insurance options and steeling out of people's units. When I filed a police report the officer told me they had over 20 reports and counting from this place. They turned off cameras so it wouldn't be footage of what they were doing. The owner still has yet to return my phone call to resolve the issue! I wish I could give them negative 100 stars! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Del City-s Scott Street Mini Storage - 3280 Delmar Road include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
