I was looking for a storage unit. Thinking I knew what I wanted, I really was going to settle for something, but still now feeling it. Long story short, Dawn E. was the lady helping me and she was so patient and polite. I could not ask for better service! I was on a time line and she accommodated to my needs. Thanks Dawn! ... I’ve been looking for a storage unit close to my home. I called and was given rates that were not correct and after reading reviews I can see that there was a change in management. Please see that the recent reviews are very bad but 2 years ago they were very good. There’s a reason for this and the owner doesn’t appear to care that many are upset and won’t rent from them because whomever they are using to run the day to day operations are lazy and incompetent. I’ve been using storage facilities as business warehouses for over 30 years and know the way they operate. However this storage center doesn’t operate like the most basic. I’d rather pay more for less space because I need access at all times. This is not the place and the recent reviews are very relevant to what my experience has been. They shouldn’t be in business. They don’t maintain a website or give any information online and when you call you’ll get roughly the same. They don’t respond to these reviews as a responsible business would. I run a website and respond to the reviews so I can correct issues and address the concerns of those visiting my site. So if they won’t even do that imagine just how they will address your concerns. Not a good place. ... Read more

Worst storage facility ever absolutely do not ever rent from theses people they are extremely rude and have harrassed me. When I called to talk to the manager to report the harrasment rudeness from the employee not to mention I was personally locked in the facility with a rope lock during open hours they did not make sure no one else was still at a locker before using a rope lock to make sure I wasn't getting out. I had to call the police on this incident. I never before I my entire life felt so personally attacked by a company and been forced to move my stuff or loose my stuff which I was paid up at the time to that goes against there contract. If I can't get ahold of the owner to talk about theses incidents I will be suing not to mention about what's going on with the other storage on 101st which I will be posting my review about that one 2. ... Was great until it came time to move our stuff into the new unit. I'm currently moving my mom half way across the country to live closer to us so I went with the storage unit (this location) closest to our house so we could easily unload a 26ft box truck amount of stuff into. The day I came in there was someone from another location covering for who ever was a no call no show that day(wut ever, girl covering was sweet and helpful) but she left out 2 major details that were pretty vital for our situation. We unfortunately came into town when it had freshly snowed so no one was in office to talk to about why our gate pin i was given didn't work. Because no one was at any of the offices I couldn't get a hold of anyone so we were forced to get another unit from attic storage(much better and more communitive) since we had a timeline to go by before having to drop the rental truck off. Finally got ahold of someone days after we had got the truck unloaded and returned (snowed cleared up enough for someone to actually come in)and asked for a refund since we never could even get through the gate since the pin wasn't working. Also to find out that the reason the pin didn't work was because OUR UNIT WAS RENTED FROM A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION. This was a huge major detail that was left out on their part and when we asked for the refund, manager is telling us that there was to long of time passed and can't refund for February. We never once could get through the gate and on top of that tried telling us that there was an emergency # we could have called thats supposedly posted on both sides of the gate. Between 3 ppl no one saw anything nor was I told when I got the unit(another of the details left out). Extremely upset that they are not willing to refund us for the time we literally couldn't even use due to their lack of communication and work ethic. I do not suggest to this storage unit. Attic has treated us amazingly and are just down the street! Also something I forgot, the manager had the audacity to tell my mother (who was on the phone with me the whole time I was getting the unit) that the girl who sold us the unit had shown me where the unit was and did a walk through so I should have know it was across the street. Not AT ALL wut happened. Home girl told me it would b through the gate all the way back and to the right at the very end. Thats how that description went. ... Read more

Very nice management. Easy to work with. Provided follow up calls and communications as promised. Prices comparable to other facilities, but this facility seems to be a little better and easier access than others I looked at. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Aspen Mini Storage - 2220 West Washington South Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location and Credit Cards Accepted. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
