Got a unit here back in April 2025 to store a bike. Was charged $38 a month, very fair. Last month for no reason, no prior update, my rate was raised to $80 a month. No explanation either. Immediately cancelled. Very frustrating. ... Read more

Do not come here!!! My belongs were damaged by the mice that they have. Management didn't do anything. The dm Sam only refunded me $152. I paid that for 3months . So basically I paid for property to get damaged. They mice every where. Pictures to follow. Im looking into taking legal action. I'm not the 1st customer either. They have no customer service and concern to make the situation right . Terrible. I would give zero stars if I could. ... Read more

Alvaro M. - 18 December 2024
The units themselves are fine and the process of renting one was easy. It even looked freshly cleaned when moved in but I'm not happy about paying for storage for 6 months to find my furniture covered in mouse feces and being told there's nothing the company can do about it. Yes, I had insurance and I can go through the lengthy process of filing a claim to reclaim up to $250 while simultaneously moving to a new state and starting a new job but that doesn't do much to remedy the $500 worth of furniture I paid to store for 6 months and am now paying to dispose of. No I did not have any food in the unit. Yes I began to file a claim with insurance... but my next step is to hand write the claim and get it notarized in order to push the case forward and frankly, all this time I'm spending on the claim is worth more than $250 I might receive when all is said and done. 2 stars. Do better. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 1204 How Lane include the following amenities: Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 1204 How Lane start from $52 and can go up to $347 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
