Kudos to this place for sure. Rented a uhaul for a few days and last experience somewhere else was terrible so I didn’t know what to expect but I can say they did not disappoint. Fast, friendly service. They made things easy and were understandable. I will be using them in the future for needs involving uhaul or a storage building. Thanks a ton guys! ... Read more

In all my years of utilizing U-Haul for moving services as a US military soldier, I have never encountered a more appalling experience than the one I encountered on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at this location. An associate that works here by the name of Frank was extremely rude, brash, and disrespectful towards my wife and me. We reserved a 26' Box Truck in advance on 01/24/2024 and our reservation was set for pickup on 01/27/2024 at 9:00AM. We arrived at 9:30AM to retrieve our truck only to find out that Frank had given the truck out to another customer while arrogantly blaming the mistake on a system glitch. He ended up adding a pure stranger's name to my contract as an “Authorized Driver” without my consent and sent them out the door with keys to a vehicle that was rented in my name without my knowledge. Meanwhile, all my personal information to include my name, physical address, phone number, email, and driver’s license number, was provided to this stranger. We politely tried to explain to him the situation and what he had done. Instead of him humbly apologizing and accepting accountability for the mistake he had made, he refused to listen while talking over us and making us feel that the message we were trying to convey was erroneous. He never responded to us remorsefully or empathetically despite our plight to quickly obtain a truck as we were on a time schedule. We made a reservation, and the reservation was correct and set. Per U-Haul’s Corporate Office, there was never a system glitch. This was an oversight on Frank’s part due to his inexperience with using computers. As a tech-savvy millennial, I can empathize that using technology can be daunting to a certain extent to a specific generation of individuals who are not as well-versed in using computers. However, we should all understand as adults that if you make a mistake, simply own up to it and provide the necessary customer service to remedy the matter. That’s not what happened here. As you can read from several other reviews left about this establishment, customer service is not a priority. I’m just grateful for the complimentary truck I was able to obtain from U-Haul Corporate due to the huge inconvenience in not obtaining a truck until hours later leaving my wife and I in a very unfortunate situation. We literally had paid movers waiting without a truck to load. As you can imagine, that was a costly inconvenience for us. All in all, mistakes happen. But how you recover from them is what matters in the game of customer service. I simply do not believe that Frank is qualified to represent the ownership of this establishment with a minuscule understanding of technology. An associate cannot deflect their discomfort with technology on paying customers expecting a paid service. That’s not our problem. Frank tarnishes this company’s small-town reputation. If I ever need U-Haul services again in Wilson, I’d much rather another location far more suitable and knowledgeable to engage. ... Read more

Can you guys hire someone that can open the office ON TIME?! I've had the unfortunate experience of having to come here twice, and both times, despite the office hours stating 9am-5pm, both times no one is here. Wouldn't put my belongings in this place if it were the last place on earth. The lady I encountered the last time I was here, who finally turned the lights on and opened the office after 10:30, was very rude, did everything she could to waste my time and avoid renting me a dolly despite giving uhual hundreds of dollars for our recent move. Today, yet again no one is here to handle business during posted business hours. It's ridiculous and a waste of people's time. But hey, the lady I encountered yesterday made it clear they don't value people's time at all, and clearly have no concept of what time the work day begins. It's 9:20am. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Zone - 5323 North 58 Hwy include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 85 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Zone - 5323 North 58 Hwy start from $55 and can go up to $235 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
