A lot of reviews on here from 5+ years ago but I just moved my stuff out earlier today from a unit I’ve had for a bit and nothing but good things to say about the now manager Joey and the business he runs at Seagate. Would recommend to anyone looking for a unit. ... Read more

I have used this facility for almost 4 years. I stored holiday decorations, out of season clothing, random pieces of furniture and tools. In that time, I never had a single rodent on my unit. I never had a leak of any sort. And I can’t even recall seeing bugs inside the unit except right at the door and then I saw them coming in. I was advised to put a deterrent powder around the perimeter inside the unit and it worked! I was also advised to put a pan of cat litter near the door to absorb moisture and I never had anything suffer from moisture either! Management did notice my door seal was not in great shape and changed it for me. They also got my lock off when I lost the key once - only charged me $10. I can’t say enough good things about the management there. They are kind and helpful. It’s not often you do business with someone for 4 years without a single.complaint. But now I’m moving and this facility is about 130 miles too far away. I highly recommend! ... Read more

Only the best experiences with Seagate Storage and especially the manager, Dee. I've been a loyal customer for almost 4 years now and feel very fortunate to be able to have one of their units! I know they are in high demand, so if you're interested, It's a very good idea to inquire sooner rather than later. And yes, clean, bug-free and best deal in town. Dee is indeed a very firm manager (with some very hard and fast, yet extremely SENSIBLE rules) and some people in previous comments have found that manner off-putting. To me, I admire that! She has a huge job and does it with the utmost competency. It makes me feel very secure. Not once have I worried about my possessions. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! ... Read more

Been out at Seagate Mini Storage for about 7 years. I've seen some harsh reviews and some good ones. All I know is that the place is clean, bug free, and lowest price in town. Yes, the manager watches the place like a hawk, but you know, that's a small price to pay for NO break ins, in the past 25 years. Hat's off to Dee for keeping everyone's stuff safe. ... Read more

I just moved my items from Seagate Storage, stored for 2 years. There is a reason for Dee's storage madness! For a non-climate controlled room, my items were in excellent condition. No access to the storage units when it's raining, great rule! No access when your not on the lease, another great rule. When it was time for the monthly payments, just call and leave a message. Always followed after with a confirmation call or email. Never, not once did I feel uncomfortable by the staff of Seagate Storage. Thanks!! ... Read more

Decent storage facility. Seemed safe and trustworthy, or so I thought. I had a unit for two months in between housing and planned on moving out at the end of the second month. I went back on the last day of the month to collect one item that remained, HOURS before closing, to find that my gate code no longer worked and there was a different lock on my unit. This "Dee" was the rudest person I could have imagined, and judging by other reviews, I am not the only customer that had a bad experience with her. She told me that my unit was cleaned out TWO days before the end of the month and that it was completely empty when they cleaned it. Very strange for my unit to be "cleaned" after I sent an email stating that I took off my lock and I would be returning for my final item on the last day of the month. Dee said it must have been stolen, but seeing how much of a "tight ship" she keeps, I have a hard time believing that my unit was being tampered with without anyone noticing (the two previous times my parents opened my unit, she popped up out of nowhere questioning what they were doing). The piece of furniture was very large and could only have been driven out with a truck bed. She was constantly asking me why I was yelling and accusing her of stealing my items while shoving the contract in my face, while I was using a normal tone and only asking rational questions. After asking her if I could ride around the lot to see if my furniture was anywhere lying outside, she said only if I didn't "plan on doing any damage." WOW!!! Very upsetting situation, seeing as the furniture was being donated to the less fortunate. If you value your items and are looking for trustworthy customer service, I would not recommend using Seagate Storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Seagate Self Storage - 207 Giles Avenue include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 200 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Seagate Self Storage - 207 Giles Avenue start from $50 and can go up to $145 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
