Great staff. Always polite. I have had no issues with them and my storage needs. Pretty good price especially for temperature control. Units are easy to access and hallways are large enough to get most objects around the corners. The main entrance doors are about regular size. So some objects like very large sofas may have a hard time fitting through. A larger door possibly located somewhere on the building would have been nice, but not necessarily required. None of my items required a larger door so I have no personal complaints about the door size. The hallways and property in general have been spotless every time I've gone to my unit. So it's a very clean place free of any pests in my experience. ... Read more

The facility is new and very clean - and the location is very convenient. Although Oleander is a busy street, I have had no issues with getting in and out of the facility entrance. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a storage unit! ... Read more

Outstanding facility with many amenities. Easy In - Easy Out on Oleander Drive. Rent is better than other Wilmington area storage places. Room to turn a trailer around. Climate Control System worked perfectly during the past winter and on the few days it has been in the 80’s the building was cool. Julie the manager is remarkable. She made sure I got the unit I requested and was very helpful. Having used other storage facilities in the area I find Julie and Oleander Storage II hands down the BEST in this area. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Oleander Self Storage - 5307 Oleander Drive include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Credit Cards Accepted and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
