I highly recommend this place! The older gentleman, who I believe was Llyod, that assisted me with my U-Haul drop-off was so nice and helpful. I was in and out in no time at all! I did not have to lift a finger! I highly recommend Llyod's Rentals and Sales in Wilmington, NC! ... Read more

Do not buy a vehicle from this place, they sold me a car for 17k showed me the wrong car fax, turns out the car had been totaled and was only worth 3k… then confronted them about it and they didn’t want to help in the slightest bit. ... Read more

My wife and I rented a U-Haul from them and they continuously tried to take money out of her account for different amounts than what we owed them. We owed them $16 and initially they tried to take 43 then it was 34 and then they took 23 and we only owed them 16. Dirty. ... Read more

A big thanks to Lloyd and his staff for a job well done. My nephew from South Carolina needed to pick up a 10 foot U-HAUL Box Truck from a local dealer here in Wilmington, NC in order to transport some furniture and other household items back to South Carolina one-way. I told my nephew about the positive experiences I had with Lloyd's Sales & Storage during my own move from Charlotte, NC to Wilmington, NC. Everything went smoothly and Lloyd's even upgraded the 10 Foot Box Truck to a larger, more comfortable 15 Foot Truck at no additional cost! Lloyd himself drove me to the truck on his golf cart and thoroughly instructed me on how everthing worked. Stanly, Dillon, Casey, Gary and the crew working the lot at Lloyd's Sales & Storage are quick, friendly, and efficient. Thank you! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Lloyd-s Sales-Storage - 6505 Market Street include the following amenities: Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking and Keyless Unit Access. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
