What customers are saying

Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 5811 Market Street, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Do not use the Go Store It Self Storage at Smith Creek. Their business practice is to offer appealing rates on storage units to attract customers and then raise prices significantly every 6 months. My rates have increased 3 times within 18 months going from $94 to $189 for a 10’ x 15’ unit. Each time they will claim “Due to operational costs associated with providing you the best possible self-storage experience, we are instituting the minimum rate increase needed to meet the financial demands of our storage facility.” They are currently advertising 10’ x 15’ for $57 at the time of this post. They clearly operate a predatory pricing model, knowing that many customers won’t want to deal with the inconvenience of moving storage units after just a couple of months. There are so many other storage options on Market Street in Wilmington. Do not do business with Go Store It, you will regret it. ... Read more

When I arrived at my storage facility in Wilmington, the office was closed and I was unable to retrieve the key I needed to get into my locker. I called the 800 number and they immediately looked into the problem and notified the on-call manager. The manager arrived within the hour with the key and it’s very helpful and assisted me backing my U-Haul up. Overall, I was highly impressed with the customer service and attentiveness, to finding resolution Thank you. I would recommend this storage facility company to others. ... Read more

This is the worst most unorganized store facility I’ve ever dealt with! I would go anywhere but here. It’s a Sunday and I’m supposed to be able to access my storage unit from 10-6 today and the gate to get into the place has a chain around it and won’t open. What’s ever better is when you try to call them about the access issues you only talk to a robot and the robot won’t connect u to a human or someone who can fix the issue and help you with your problem. Save your money and time and go somewhere else ... Read more

Nishanth was very helpful in helping me get a second unit added to my account. He even was able to get my units near each other for added convenience. Was able to take care of all my needs with a single call. ... Read more

Bharath was easy to work with when we needed to move out- easily moved us out over the phone- we had pictures of the clean storage unit and I was able to text them directly to him. He was kind, friendly, and really helpful. If we need another storage unit we for our kids college things again we will use Go Store It in the future. Highly recommend. ... Read more

Look elsewhere: + units are clean - on move in day, there was no staff on-site to give me a key to the unit so I had to keep my full uhaul an extra day. - there is no consistency and the office is mostly locked despite it being business hours. I have gone three times this week and nobody is there. - I've called the number on the door which is an AI responder, and was unable to get a human despite saying I would called back. I was only able to get a hold of a real person by booking another unit online and only then got a call. She was very helpful and kind, but I do not have confidence in this site/business. As stated previously, the rates have gone up from $50-$79- and now $138 in a year. Lack of transparency in pricing. ... Read more

Go here if you want a clean secure facility that will increase your rent price regularly. They increased from 60-78$ within the 1st 3 mths then went to 105$ (32%) increase within 1 year. Totally ridiculous. You have to call and be on hold for 25 minutes then negotiate your price. It’s like the cable company. Terrible ... Read more

What I’m about to write has no reflection on the staff who are amazing. I rented a unit in castle Hayne and after 3 months they doubled the price. I then moved to another location off Market street and they changed from $99 a month to $260 a month after 3 months. I despise the bait in switch tactic and for this reason I’m moving my items a third time but will not be renting with Go Store It. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Go Store It - 5811 Market Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 540 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Go Store It - 5811 Market Street start from $13 and can go up to $194 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
