Read some helpful reviews of Storage Sense at 1202 Barkley Road North, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The lady running this place is super friendly and gave us plenty of options when it came to getting the right sized unit for our needs. The property is clean as well as our unit when we moved our stuff in( have not had the same experience at other rental units) ... Read more

This place is such a scam. After one day, I realized that I didn't need the locker. I called up, and they said that they couldn't give a refund, which is unreasonable to begin with, but when I said that I won't need it at the end of the month they said that they've already moved me out of the system meaning that even though I paid for the month they didn't want to give me the month that I paid for. I said that's not how that works, and she said, "Yes, that's how that works." ?????? Stay away from these people. Plenty of other places to rent storage from. I have already filed a claim through my bank. ... Read more

My experience was awesome. The owner herself gave me a call and reassured me everything was ready to go. She took my payment over the phone and showed me where to go when I arrived. We moved to NC from Arkansas in 2 days and she was amazing ... Read more

If you pay your bill and follow the rules/ contract you sign then you will have no issues. This place is great and the 2 wonderful ladies who work here are lovely they make sure day in and day out that your stuff is safe and secure with a pleasant welcome with each visit...now if you don't like to pay your bills and you don't like to follow the rules and regulations of a storage facility than that is on you but dont get mad at somone for doing the job requirements they are hired to do and try to blast them on social sites. The rules and contract they have for storage procedures are posted and listed in your signed contract and as an adult you should know how they work and operate so don't get a storage unit if you can't pay, read or comprehend really its that simple! ... I've stored here for a year now, it has worked until now. I am on auto pay, and in July I got a text or email, saying that my card was defunct. (It works everywhere else.). Drove up the next day and made payment, and Sheila updated my info, wrongly. Not hearing from them in August, I assumed that payment was made, and they were happy. I needed some things, and drove up on the 2nd of September. I went into the office to make a cash payment for the month, only to be told that I was 2 months behind, they had cut my lock, and that my things were up for auction. Why did they not notify me that payment was late, as they did in July? The hardware on the doors are setup to accommodate 2 locks, why did they need to cut my lock off, in order to lock me out? Sheila, the boss lady, said she had tried to call several times, and that the woman in Ohio told them to stop calling. Sheila had inserted a 614 area code, mine is 619. She then did her best to appease me, by handing me a little piece of crap Chinese lock that she happened to have sitting there. Her attitude was BS! Though she kept calm and to her best, dignified, we both knew that she was not. I have been burglarized in the past, I felt the same way in this instance. I was violated. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Storage Sense - 1202 Barkley Road North include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Storage Sense - 1202 Barkley Road North start from $24 and can go up to $429 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
