Highly recommend to store your belongings somewhere else. We stored out furniture and belongings here while our house is being built. We started off paying $115 every month and by the time we left we were paying $188. Our place is still not finished but we went to retrieve something and found out there was a leak somewhere in our unit. We lost all of our furniture and belongings to mold. Not only that we pulled everything out and found mice droppings and that our stuff had been chewed on by mice. Not to mention we found German Roaches in our unit that infested our belongings. Some of our stuff even smelled like a dead animal. We had to get rid of over half of our stuff and they charged us another $75 to rent a U-Haul to move our stuff that was damaged in their facility. They are over priced and uncaring, don’t waste your time here. ... Read more

Extremely disappointed in how this company continually increases the rent on their units. The solution I was given is to move into a different unit to get the best price, usually once a year which is insane. Why should I have to keep moving my things around to get a decent price? We will be taking our business elsewhere. ... Read more

Had difficulty using our code the first day we got our unit via online booking, but Belinda at the property assisted us promptly & made sure everything would be set. She ensured we had all of the information needed to make our rental a good one. Only deducting a star (would be a half, but) because we ended up having to back up at the gate with someone behind us & head into the office after setting everything up online. Otherwise, so far, so good! ... Read more

HELP WANTED: Anyone that can explain to me why this corporation says my Visa card is expired. I talked to Truist Bank in Sneads Ferry three times, twice to Truist in Wilson, had the assistance manger call & talk to storage employees, to assure them card is NOT expired. I was told I have to pay with another credit card, go to the bank & get a check for payment of storage unit. Sure, right, give them another valid card for them to tell me it’s expired. Currently have seven auto payments a month on this account, made a gasoline purchase at the Speedway in Sneads Ferry on Monday, 21 October with this card. Cannot penetrate the mental fog the computer geeks have. I have dealt with the Marine Corps, US Government & the VA . Have NEVER ran into this kind of stupidity. The local employees are great. Either you control the machine, or the machine controls you. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Stored Away Self Storage - 2160 Highway 172 include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Stored Away Self Storage - 2160 Highway 172 start from $20 and can go up to $332 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
