Read some helpful reviews of Carolina Secure Storage at 1357 North Wesleyan Blvd, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I originally had a great experience with Carolina Secure Storage until there was an incident completely out of my control that caused damage to my unit. I was texted, called, and emailed while at work informing me that something occurred likely damaging my unit and I should go to the location to assess. When I returned the call to inquire further, I was given no details. I had to leave work and go check it out. Upon arrival, the gate was no longer there as it had been damaged and there was an indentation in the side of the building directly outside of my unit. There were a couple gentlemen there prepping to patch up the opening the incident caused when I asked what happened. They told me someone drove their vehicle through the custom gate (which would take ~16 weeks to repair) and then into the wall of the building. I went inside the building to find my lock had been cut. I was only able to see the things in the front of the unit and not the back which was the area that had been hit. Incredibly random, but I laughed it off and planned for the facility to move my things to another unit within the building in order to fix the damage to the wall. When I called, it took 15 minutes to finally get the account manager Ammy on the line. This was unacceptable as she was the one who'd called, emailed, and texted about the damage to begin with. Once on the phone, I asked when the facility would be scheduling the move so I could be present. Her response was that not only did my belongings HAVE to be moved, but the facility would NOT move them on my behalf and I would have to cover ALL expenses on my own. I was taken aback and asked her to repeat herself. I told her that was unacceptable and I asked for her to reach out to her superior. She acted as though she was "advocating" for me, but the response from said person was the same. "You have to move your things and you're responsible for it all." I reviewed my contract and the legality of her statement. I am well aware of what I am responsible for per the contract and this bizarre incident did not fall into any of those categories. I asked for the regional manager to contact me to further discuss as I found this unacceptable. I was told he'd reach out to me on the next day (Saturday). I didn't hear from him until the following Wednesday. I told him I wanted to move my things from the facility entirely and be refunded for what I'd prepaid. He agreed. I took care of everything on my own and have had a much better experience with a storage facility approximately 7-8 minutes away. With all of that said, this facility seemed fine...until it wasn't. If there are any significant issues or concerns that arise, please be aware that they will not only be difficult to get in contact with, but they have no sense of urgency and were extremely unprofessional during the entire ordeal. I'd encourage you to search elsewhere before choosing this storage facility if you care about your belongings. ... Read more

Clean, great location, easy access. And they have good prices. Made my moving experience alot easier. 24-7 access and the move in special were the deal makers for me. Times are tough right now with tarrifs and my job layoff. Finding Carolina Secure Storage was definitely a blessing for me! ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 100 to 480 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Carolina Secure Storage - 1357 North Wesleyan Blvd start from $10 and can go up to $226 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
