My experience with this Storage in Pineville, NC has been a complete nightmare from start to finish. In June 2025, I rented a unit online and was instructed to move in on a weekend, with the lock supposedly left inside the unit. When I arrived with a fully loaded moving truck, the unit was dirty, still contained someone else’s belongings, and had no lock at all. The office was closed, no staff on site, and customer service sent me on a wild goose chase to buy a lock that could not be found anywhere. My moving truck was stuck there for over 3 hours, costing me additional money and stress. Eventually, after countless calls, I was instructed to switch to a completely different unit. This resulted in multiple contracts being created under my name, billing errors, and refunds that were never clearly resolved. Fast forward to November 14, 2025 — I officially moved out. I followed all required procedures, completed the move-out through the app, received email confirmation, removed all belongings, and even notified the on-site staff in person. Despite this, Public Storage failed to close my account and began charging me for December, a month I did NOT use the unit. I called the Pineville location, explained everything, and was told the charge would be removed. I heard nothing further. Now, in January 2026, I am being contacted by a collections agency for a debt that is completely invalid and unjustified, even though I have documented proof of my move-out. This company shows a total lack of organization, accountability, and respect for customers. I’ve wasted countless hours, dealt with unnecessary stress, and now have to dispute a debt that should never have existed. I do NOT recommend Public Storage to anyone. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, look elsewhere. ... Read more

1 star (because zero isn’t an option) STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! This was the worst storage experience I’ve ever had. I rented a unit and was told I’d be able to access it today, with a lock waiting inside. When I arrived, there was no one on site, no lock, and to make matters worse — someone had already been inside and left a bunch of junk: clothes, shelves, notebooks, etc. I called customer service, and the only solution they gave me was to transfer to another unit — which meant I had to pay everything all over again. They promised the new unit would have a lock. I went there with all my belongings — and guess what? No lock again! I tried contacting them repeatedly to resolve the issue, but no one helped. They said the manager would arrive in 30 minutes. I waited. I waited over THREE HOURS outside the storage facility — and nothing. The manager never showed up, never called, no one followed up, and I was left completely on my own. I had to go out and try to buy a lock myself, on a Sunday, almost 5 PM — went to two different stores, couldn’t find one. I was left feeling frustrated, helpless, and completely disrespected, with all my stuff sitting in an unsecured unit. I wouldn’t recommend this place even to store trash. Zero professionalism, nonexistent customer service, broken promises, and total disregard for the customer. Public Storage in Pineville is nothing but a nightmare. If you value your time and your belongings, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. ... Read more

Shauntae at the office was very very very helpful going above and beyond . Gave us choice suggestion and all. Always with a smile on her face. We were coming from Florida with a 33' trailer to park and she took the time to help us find the best spot to avoid a lot of manovre. Highly recommended. ... Read more

Olivia is the property manager and was absolutely awesome to work with in getting set up in the unit perfect for me! She was patient and kind and very thorough. It's really nice to work with people that take the extra time to explain things so that you understand it thoroughly without making you feel like you're taking all their time! I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs to rent a storage unit. Olivia is a complete asset to the company and there should be more people like her in the industry! Loyal 13 year customer that the company repeatedly raised the price on until it was an absolutely outrageous $351/month for a unit I could re-rent for only $80/month. These are predatory price gouging tactics they are using on one of their most loyal customers. Happily paid for movers to come and clear out the unit because the $650 cost of the movers would be saved in 2 months of no longer having the unit. Stay far away from this location and any other Public Storage owned location. ... Read more

Called into to make a reservation. Received my reservation number and my email to complete reservation. Went to complete within 30 min of receiving email and was told my reservation wasn't available. Am I in a Seinfeld episode? Not a good way to earn business. Was recommended to me to call the location manager and they would be open at 10. Came to the location at 1045 and no one was there. ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 10811 Pineville Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
