My husband and I had looked all over Jacksonville for a specific size U-Haul trailer and Cargo Bay Storage was the only one to have it available. We unfortunately didn’t realize that they had closed just minutes prior to us arriving. When I say they go above and beyond I mean it, the man working had just closed down everything and locked up when he saw us sitting parked. He came over and offered to get everything loaded back up so that we could get the trailer we needed. This level of customer service was amazing, and we are extremely appreciative! ... Read more

We rented a unit about two weeks ago and the experience we had with the staff was awesome! The front desk clerk was so sweet and honest she made me feel very comfortable with renting from there. Not to mention the facility was very clean and I was impressed. Our unit quickly filled and we were in need of another unit. There was no hesitation about wondering where I would rent from. Going in the second time was awesome because the process was quick and we we acquainted with the same staff. Still super friendly and amazing. I believe it’s a family run business and it was a pleasure that they made me feel like I was family too! Please bring your business there, you will not be disappointed! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Cargo Bay Storage - 1103 Kellum Loop Road include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 272 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Cargo Bay Storage - 1103 Kellum Loop Road start from $75 and can go up to $245 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
