My husband and I tried to go "RE"RENT a small storage unit, only to be questioned suspiciously about what we are storing, why we need storage, how long, to not wanting to give me prices on any available units climate or non.. Such a jerk, and when I asked why all the questions and not being helpful he said I don't know if you are homeless or not wanting to pay your bill to have us auction off your things for payment.. IT WAS CRAZY!!! We have previously in the last 15 years rented a small unit on and off for storage.. Never had we felt in those times interrogated about wanting to store some things that's close to our home.. He acted so suspicious and was obivous he didnt want our business.. As being previous military and used storage units on and off. I would not recommend this place in Jacksonville Camp Lejeune area.. customer service needs to address on how to act like a manager instead of someone who doesn't want any service....!!!! ... “Manager” was very rude. I drove into the lot knocked on the door no one answered which was fine. Then the “manager” came up and said something along the lines of “can’t you see manager on deck” pointing at a sign next to the door. I’ve never been there before and was just trying to get a quote but then when me and the manager step inside he asked why didn’t I just call instead of wasting gas this and that. I tried explaining the amount of misinformation I see online then he interrupts and said “that’s why you just call instead of wasting gas” was very rude despite the amount of times I was trying to ignore him telling me I should have called before coming. I would not recommend going you’ll just waste your time with him berating you as to why didn’t you just call. ... Read more

Went to open a unit. Moving into a smaller home with not a lot of storage space. Just needed space for camping supplies, old documentation, holiday decorations, some bigger furniture. Felt like I was being investigating with the questions being asked. Had an attitude as soon as I walked through the door. Was questioning if that's really was I was storing in the unit, and if I could actually afford it. Decided to go somewhere else. ... Read more

I really like my storage until, it has A/C in it and I feel like my belongings are safe. But the manager here Mr Rod is a unreliable, he takes extend lunch breaks from 1230pm that is what the door says to now 230pm and I'm outside my car waiting when he told me he would be back by 2pm.....I don't care how long you take your lunch, but on the 1st through the 5th are obviously there most busiest time b/c it is pay time. I don't know where the other guy went to that was working the front desk; but someone should always be there during the business hours specified on the door. This is unacceptable and a waste of my time, it's hot and I'm ready to go home. Please be mindful of others time. This is ridiculous! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at A-1 Self Storage - 1835 Lejeune Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 9 to 300 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by A-1 Self Storage - 1835 Lejeune Blvd start from $40 and can go up to $220 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
