My storage was broken into 8/14/25. The gate at this facility was broken at the time my unit was broken into. Whoever did this must have done this before. They cut my lock and stole my valuables. The manager Amy says they are working to get the gate fixed, but i've been renting a storage unit since Feb 2025 and the gate has been broken at least 5-6 times. There is never anyone working at the office on site. Apparently the gate keeps breaking because people keep hitting the gate with their car. I feel like this Facility is full of crap. Almost every lock on the row where my unit is has new locks as if their storage unit has been broken into. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Originally I was paying 54/mo, but they increased my rent to $82/mo and THEY DON'T EVEN KEEP THE GATE FIXED. They advertise for security on their website, but the place is not secure at all. ... Do NOT store your belongings here. My boyfriend stored multiple high value items close to $10,000 worth while we were moving and all of it was stolen. When he went back to the storage unit the lock was on the unit and intact but all his things were gone. This seems to be a VERY common issue with this place. Possibly an inside job, my boyfriend also stated there was a camera facing the unit when he moved his stuff there and the camera was no longer there when he realized his things were stolen. ... Extremely Disappointing Experience – AVOID THIS FACILITY! My experience with 10 Federal Self Storage was nothing short of a nightmare. A fire broke out in the unit a few doors down from mine, which caused significant damage to my belongings. Virtually everything I owned—aside from my clothes—was stored in that unit. When I went to assess the damage, everything was covered in black soot, had brown stains, and reeked of smoke. Unfortunately, I had to throw away almost all of the items that belong inside my house, including beds, couches, furniture, and more. At the time, I was recovering from a broken foot, which prevented me from moving my items immediately. However, I notified the facility that I would need time to remove my belongings and inspect the damage. I finally moved everything out the same day the fire damage restoration team arrived. I promptly submitted an insurance claim, but to my dismay, it was denied. I lost thousands of dollars worth of personal property because of 10 Federal Self Storage's negligence, and they refused to offer any compensation. Additionally, the facility’s security is severely lacking. Despite claiming to be working on an entry gate for the entire 10 months I rented from them, it was never completed. The facility had only a couple of cameras, and anyone could easily access the property. I had multiple encounters with strangers asking for money while I was at the unit, which made me feel unsafe. In summary, this was an incredibly frustrating and costly experience. I STRONGLY recommend finding a more secure and trustworthy storage facility. ... Read more

They would have been a 5 but a fire that did not affect my unit caused them to move me from the one big unit I had to two smaller, inferior units. They paid to move me but then would not pay to move me back. Overall it's a good company but this incident cost them. ... Read more

They have no security on site, ppl squatting there, all kinds of abandoned crashed cars being left blocking the small driveways, they will continue to charge you once you're done and gone. Customer service is nasty and rude. If you want free storage go there nobody checks the units or locks them! They are across the street from Penn-byrn Retirement facilities ran by Catholic nuns. I tried to get assistance but keep getting sent to online portal! Maybe Penn burn will! I tried with this company! Terrible MGMT! ... Read more

Storage units available at 10 Federal Self Storage - 606 Greensboro Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 1,000 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by 10 Federal Self Storage - 606 Greensboro Road start from $64 and can go up to $443 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
