Police told me the place gets robbed all the time. I received a call today that my unit was found without a lock and that they placed a new one. They failed to mention that every unit was found without a lock and was ransacked. I found that out once I left work early and drove over. There are no cameras. And if you want past the front gate, you just text a number. Terrible security. Additionally, they’re much more expensive than nearby storage centers. Update 1 month later: Sheriff’s office called and they were not provided any video surveillance and even this new person advised me to move my stuff based on how often they investigate this location. ... Constant rent increases and then trying to justify it with the economy. Really sorry stuff. I'm paying nearly 50% more than what I started at less than 2 years ago. Find another facility that won't grift you this hard. ... Read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. 10 Federal Storage has been an absolute disaster from start to finish. The fact that a storage facility has no video monitoring in this day and age is beyond irresponsible—it's downright negligent. They claim to provide secure storage, yet their facility has had multiple break-ins, including ours, and they have done nothing to make it right. When our unit was broken into, we expected some level of accountability. Instead, we got excuses, zero compensation, and zero concern for our loss. They refuse to acknowledge their failure to provide even basic security measures. No cameras, no real effort to prevent further break-ins, just empty promises and a total lack of care for their customers. To make matters worse, they continue to raise the rent, yet they can’t even invest in basic security like video monitoring. Instead of improving safety, they just take more of your money while leaving your belongings at risk. If you’re looking for a place to store your belongings, DO NOT trust 10 Federal Storage. Their incompetence and disregard for security mean your valuables are at serious risk. Find a facility that actually prioritizes protecting what matters to you—this place certainly doesn’t. ... DO NOT STORE YOUR VALUABLES AT THIS FACILITY!!! You’d be better off just leaving them anywhere out in the street because at least that way you’ll already know that your things will be taken!! Instead of paying a “secured” storage facility and paying for insurance coverage just to have all your valuables STOLEN and then because of ZERO security at location your claim is denied because the facility says it’s a “MYSTERIOUS LOSS.” Funny how the main entrance to the facility has been open now since September 24, 2024 and is currently open as I’m typing this review. The camera closest to my unit is just looking up at the sky as I assume the owners will be doing as they read this review!! The light right outside my unit just happen to be out, it’s a led light so I find that strange when it appeared to be the only one out. Clearly the thieves are very professional and know how this facility operates or it’s an inside job. Just read one of the other reviews where the thieves did the exact same thing and placed a decoy lock on my unit. I was lucky that the lock was so janky it came open just from be fiddling with it. Didn’t matter once I opened the door because all my valuables were GONE!! When the sheriff came he told me to find another facility because they get called to that place all the time! Also if you look up the address they just arrested a guy and charged him with 50 counts of breaking and entering at this facility!! Those people were lucky because they arrested this guy at a home where many of the items were located. This whole thing is really sad. I’m willing to bet that ZERO investigation was done in this matter. I said all that to say DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!! Just give your stuff away if this place is your only option. I had two units at this facility, I’ve been using 10Federal for years, I have another storage unit across town that was owned by 10Federal(now ClearHome storage) when I first moved and I still have a unit there. I’ve never had any issues there. I was actually planning on moving all my items from that facility to this facility just because it’s closer to my home…..THANK GOODNESS I DIDN’T because then all my stuff would be gone!! So now I have moved the FEW items that they left in my unit and all the items in my other unit over to ClearHome Storage. The attached videos are actually all parts of a single two minute and thirty second video that I had to break into pieces because it would only allow thirty second clips. The purpose of the video was to show how long the gate was open and no cars were coming thru it. This company clearly does not care about it’s tenants. ... Read more

17 May 2024! Thoroughly enjoyed this storage facility until one day I noticed my lock was changed. After submitting a work order and having it removed I had access to see my property had been ransacked and stolen. No cameras available to capture anything. There was another unit nearby that was also broken into. Staff did not show much concern or compassion for the issue. 0/10 would recommend. ... Read more

No longer a secure facility. The gate is a facade and will not stop a single person from entering. This needs to be corrected. I will upload a photo this weekend to allow everyone to see this "secure" facility. Internal locking mechanism changed as well. Text the number to open the gate. Anyone from anywhere can open the gate. Edit: I have called in twice over the last 3 weeks and had an "escalation" submitted and have had no call backs. The representatives have been just as appalled but nothing has happened. ... Read more

Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 400 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by 10 Federal Self Storage - 3802 Angier Avenue start from $54 and can go up to $222 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
