I typically don’t leave reviews, but I wanted to take a second to thank kayla for her amazing customer service! My husband and I decided to move out due to a rent increase but she was so helpful, kind, and willing to make sure we weren’t charged for an additional month! Thanks so much Kayla! ... Read more

I never leave bad reviews if I can help it but I had to warn anyone looking for storage that you SHOULD NOT rent here. Not only do they increase rental rates by 60% their location is absolutely filthy. There is a downed tree that has been there for months; trash was littered all over the parking lot and inside of the storage spaces. People hang out in front of the location after staff has left making it feel unsafe. The other issue I had is that one day I went in on a Saturday morning. When I went to give my ID to get a cart the woman in the office was on the phone. She motioned for me to hold one moment; which I did. A gentleman came in about 3 minutes later, skipped past me, she grabbed his ID while still speaking on the phone and motioned for him to take the last cart. After she finished her phone call I asked why she skipped me and she said I needed to confirm you have a space here; my ID would have done the same thing it did for the gentlemen. Rudest customer service of my life. DO NOT RENT HERE. Down the road about 2 miles is a beautiful morningstar storage facility that I switched too. It is sincerely so clean; and I feel safe going there. ... Read more

I reserved a unit online and I was able to access it the same day. Teray was very helpful and is personable. The process went smoothly, and I highly recommend this location. The only downside is that the carts are only available during office hours. I think most storage units are adopting this policy since they tend to “grow their own legs and walk away” sometimes. Great experience. ... Read more

Public Storage has been an outstanding experience, and I have to give a special shoutout to Teray for the exceptional service. From the moment I walked in, Teray was professional, attentive, and made the entire process seamless. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about making sure everything is handled perfectly, and Teray went above and beyond. The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-maintained, but it’s the level of service that truly sets this place apart. Highly recommend Public Storage, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Teray assist you. ... Read more

I moved my stuff into storage a month ago and was helped by the associate, Jasmine. Jasmine was so sweet and very helpful. She was new to the public storage company and left to hold the office down on her own, and she did an amazing job. She took her time assisting me and provided me with all the information I needed. My only critique is that the facility needs more trays/dollies to move the materials to storage units. Other than that, I have no real complaints. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 5607 South Tryon Street include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
