Never thought Id write a google review but I absolutely have to let everyone know how phenomenal larisse and Jasmine are. Kim and Dana have really been a BLESSING to us. They went above and beyond what and storage unit associates have ever done. These women turn a somber day into a restoration of faith and kindness. These women are what ANY company Dreams to HAVE. Thank you guys so much. Honestly, its said alot but truly These women deserve a bonus or a pay raise. KIM AND DANA KEEP SHINING BRIGHT. ... Read more

Very unpleasant experiences here. My first concern is the INSIDE door having the most janky magnetic lock. Thing looks like I could pull it and it would fall off. I mentioned something to the staff, but the thing sure doesn’t look any better 2 months later. Not going to stop doing business here because there is another entrance door before this inside locked door. Plus the fact that I have a lock on my personal storage unit doesn’t cause me to be overly concerned about my items. Now today is where I really have a problem. The front door won’t open?! I tried and tried. And yes, I had the correct PIN code to let me in. I need to get something from my unit, but I won’t lose sleep if I don’t have access right but, I’m pretty pissed I can’t access MY STUFF. I can’t imagine if I NEEDED to get in here. ... Read more

Public storage as a company is alright but this location is horribly managed. They do not communicate with customers about changes to access and the manager Brenda doesn’t know what customer service means. She believes that a lack of communication is totally appropriate and makes no attempts to resolve issues. She doesn’t prioritize returning messages, so don’t even bother leaving one. At a minimum, if a building needs to be closed there should be a sign that says that, but Brenda doesn’t think so. If I were you I would rent a storage place from any location but this one. ... Renting a unit from Public Storage has been one of the most frustrating experiences. From day one, the gate code I was provided didn’t work. I tried multiple times on different days and still couldn’t access my unit. I called several times asking for help or a temporary code—each time I was either ignored, redirected, or flat-out dismissed. No one ever actually helped. At one point, I was even locked inside the facility and was told my only option was to call the fire department to get out… at 3 PM—well within their listed operating hours of 9:30 AM to 5PM. No one was on-site, despite what their hours and signage claim, which felt like blatant false advertising. After being told I’d have a meeting with the property manager the next day, I showed up and once again, no one was there. No call, no follow-up, nothing. I ended up coming back again just to retrieve my things after finally being given a temporary code. By then, I was completely fed up. The customer service throughout this entire ordeal was cold, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. It felt like I was talking to a brick wall every time I reached out for help. ... Read more

Shauntae was awesome she been constantly calling and going back and fourth looking foe the best unit that fits my need. She did not give up on me at all she went hard when I signed up for the promotion that dissappeard. She even allowed me to use her Hotspot on her phone being that the building signal was weak. Charley was even great too he helped the atmosphere stay welcoming when. I was getting overwhelmed. Thank you guys ... Read more

Recently booked a unit at the Park Road storage location and their was a lock on the unit. No one there to help. Called customer service and Shontae from this location drove all the way over to help and resolved the issue by helping me find a unit at her location in south Blvd. Really thankful for her help. Give her a raise, she was kind and patient in trying to resolve the issue. ... Read more

I emptied my unit months ago and they still charge me and won’t return any of my calls. Communication is terrible. I followed all their instructions to empty the unit, emptied it and took the lock as instructed under the notion they do daily checks and mark empty units. I have called over a dozen times over a 2.5 month period they have not returned any calls. Every attempt I make at the online chat forum it says “try again in a few minutes”. I would not recommend to anyone. They do not care about the customer and I would be worried about my stuff staying there. ... Read more

On the positive side, we successfully stored our household good in 2 storage units for 4 months. However, it was not a good experience with the property. We paid for climate control which never appeared to work. There were also lights that never worked and doors never fixed. The gates always worked so that maybe kept our stuff safe. Its not open 24 hrs and that was fine with us. A nice staff member switched our two units to be closer together in the same building and close to exit doors when we started in Aug so that was helpful. The older building had some bad smells so happy not to be in it. Also they had numerous bathroom issues and at one point we were not allowed to use the bathroom tho we were there for hours with the movers moving out our stuff. My husband had to go over to the furniture store. The manager did not respond to my calls or emails. Do not recommend as their customer service was poor and the units were not clean or well kept. ... Here is the water damage caused inside a unit at this location. All my collector books molded & ruined. It has been over two months & the insurance purchased through the public storage has done nothing besides provide excuses saying they need more information & more photos pertaining to the damage. No one at this facility has attempted to help with this issue or even taken a moment to show they care. 28 years of a collection ruined. DON'T put your trust in these storage facilities. Updated 10/20/2020: Originally this claim was started on 6/30/2020. They left me a messaged asking me to accept a measly $672 on 10/05/2020 from an unknown number that I can't call back for my ruined collection of books. I have called to just speak with someone every day since and still have not heard back from anyone. I will can not express more how terrible this company is, they have left us in the dark the entire time showing they truly don't care about anything you store with them. Save yourself the time, money and your possessions! Don't allow this terribly ran facility destroy your items as well. They prove they only care to take your money. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Public Storage - 4555 South Blvd include the following amenities: Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 25 to 350 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Public Storage - 4555 South Blvd start from $43 and can go up to $290 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
