What a great experience. And it was all due to Keisha, I so hope I'm spelling her name right. Lol. I told her I grew up with rotary phones and she took it from there. She was so kind and knowledgeable. And patient!! Lol. She did a great job and if If I have to talk to anyone again I hope its her. Thanks again Keisha. Sincerely, Bruce Pajala. Also I would like to Thank Laidy for her help today. You folks must have an excellent screening process cause your virtual folks to the site manager. They've all been extremely extremely helpful. ... Honest review from a military person, when first calling Midgard they contacted me three days later and the original unit and price I wanted was gone. Due to that issue ended up with two smaller units. Then they came up with the ideal of putting their locks on your storage unit. A major security issue with me. Then a price increase and when I went to discuss that with the video helper the customer service person had a nasty attitude when I told her that I did not get an email. I didn't get an email because they wrote the wrong email address down. In my personal opinion there should be someone on sight to handle customer issues instead of talking to a video screen. ... I have been renting from Midgard storage for a year. I called and talked with a wonderful lady named. Christin, because I had a lot of questions, and she was so very patient with me and gave me so many options to choose from. She bent over backwards to help me, and I so appreciate her professionalism, and her optimistic personality. She has made things so much easier for me. I reckon the storage facility 100%! ... I only needed to rent it for a month when I moved my stuff in there was an ashtray that was spilled on the ground that I needed to clean. It was also difficult to find because they assigned me a unit at a different location that wasn’t on their website. When I gave my move out notice, they sent me an email saying thank you informing us and nothing else, so I thought it was canceled and then after two months of charging me they told me that it was because I didn’t turn their lock in which is on the unit. They never informed me that I needed to turn in their lock that’s on the unit and just continued to charge me. Their cancellation process is not worth the hassle, their units are dirty, and they’re overpriced. Find somewhere else. ... Read more

Audreanna was extremely helpful with helping me at Midgard Storage. I had forgotten my access codes and she helped me locate the info with ease. I was considering cancelling my unit all together after over a year of storing my stuff with Midgard Self Storage until Audreanna convinced me to keep my things in my unit for as long as I needed. Audreanna assured me my personal belongings were safe at Midgard Self Storage. I am grateful for Audreanna and for Midgard Self Storage in Castle Hayne NC. Im happy to be going into my 2nd year there and Im so glad Midgard has not raised my monthly rate since day 1. ... Read more

Very rarely do you see staff. It's all automated. They keep finding ways to hike up your monthly rental fees. They change their contract terms every few months and increase fees. They are now adding their own coded locks to each unit that everyone will have to pay an additional monthly fee for. Personally, I don't feel comfortable with them having access to my unit, using their coded locks, anytime they want. ... Read more

Right now I give them a three because of a problem that occurred. We'll see how it goes. They seem to have glitches in their software or in the quality of help they have. I did not receive my notifications of my contract until I requested them. They were supposedly attached but they were not to the emails I got. I had to request them at least two times. Then I found out within a couple days. I did not need an outside law and the first thing they told me was too bad. Too sad. No refunds as in the contract. Well, I couldn't really read the contract that well since it was all done by video communications and I only got my my copies a couple days later to actually read but I did not because I told him that was the pits. The customer care person told me when I canceled the outside lot that I would have options. I had to repeat that to the lady who told me no refunds. They came back and what appeared to be an apology. They offered me credit to go towards my indoor storage which was nice after they had to think about it. Overall, they've been pretty pleasant to deal with but their training could be better. , ... Frequently Asked Questions

Storage units available at Midgard Self Storage - 4416 Castle Hayne Road include the following amenities: 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Depending on what you need to put away in storage, you can discover there are some things you absolutely need, so make sure you check with the facility manager that you'll find everything you need on site.

This particular storage facility provides self storage units of different sizes, ranging from 50 to 720 square feet. Space is not an issue! If you have more belongings to store, or simply bulkier items or even vehicles, you should go for larger storage units.

You already know how much stuff you need to put in self storage, so figuring out the unit size you need is the next step. Smaller units such as 5'x5' or 5'x10' spaces can usually be filled with the amount of items you would normally store in a closet: a few chairs and lamps, sports equipment, garden tools and some boxes.

Moving on to larger sizes, imagine the 10'x10' and 10'x15' units as similar to a bedroom or a living room – larger pieces of furniture, sturdier equipment and bicycles can fit here. Finally, a 10'x20' unit has enough space for the contents of a 3-bedroom house, while the larger 10'x30' space easily accommodates the contents of a loaded semi-truck.

Monthly prices for units offered by Midgard Self Storage - 4416 Castle Hayne Road start from $39 and can go up to $375 for larger spaces.

Accessibility and quickness are key when it comes to storage, so drive-up storage units are generally regarded as very convenient. Pull your car right up to your storage space, load, unload, and you're good to go! However, if you're mostly storing temperature-sensitive items, you should rather consider indoor storage units.

Climate-controlled units maintain consistent temperatures and humidity levels all year round, making them perfect for all your sensitive items. Moisture and varying temperatures can damage a whole host of things, and that is why a lot of people choose to use climate-controlled units to store items like wooden furniture, electronics, artwork, documents and photographs, collectibles, antiques, etc. If the belongings you're storing are important to you, you should consider renting a climate-controlled unit.
