Do NOT rent space from these crooks! They have raised my rent at least 3 times in the last 2 years. My monthly rate is now $125 more than when I first started renting with them. They also openly told me that if I was to start a new contact today, my monthly rent would be $54 less than what I am currently paying. The lack of ethics and integrity is astounding. When I discussed the matter with the store manager, they basically told me they couldn't do anything and as courtesy they reached out to the district manager. I just want to warn everyone that this is a bait and switch business model!! They lure customers in with a seemingly low price (the "bait") and then switch to significantly higher prices after you’ve committed (the "switch"). The “no contract” sounds great, but it’s actually a scam because they can raise rents on you whenever. I tried to offer to prepay for the year to lock in the rate and they said “you can do that, but you will have to pay the difference when we raise the rent”. So slimy. Rarely do I leave bad reviews but today is a must. They lost a customer due to lack of professionalism and disrespect, from their gm, Chad. I set up a reservation 2 days ago to rent a unit at this location, store #5955. Chad was the person working there this past afternoon, I explained to him that I was transferring from one unit to another and may need to upgrade to an even larger unit depending on how much additional space I’ll need. There was an issue with the current unit I was going to be moving from, I explained and stepped aside to wait for it to be addressed. Another customer comes in as I’m stepping aside, to wait. Chad then says to me “you need to stand outside, so that I can leave and help this customer”. WE ARE AT THE FRONT DESK AND CUSTOMER WAITING AREA. Why would I, a would-be customer, stand outside of the establishment, in 30 degree weather, when the office hours are open and this is what this area is designed for?? And when I asked Chad why we need to leave while he helps the customer, his response was “BECAUSE WE KEEP A LOT OF CASH AND COMPUTERS AROUND” …you know what he was insinuating. (And ironically, 30 seconds later, he solved the other customer’s problem without having to leave the desk) I obviously canceled my reservation request after that situation and will go elsewhere. Not sure if Chad is the main decision maker but the way he acted earlier today , I’m sure it wasn’t his first or last time.
